-Edit after owner's response:My apologies for assuming I would be served outside. I saw the outside tables and since I had my dog with me I didn't want to stand inside the restaurant for long. I appreciate the response and will update my review. However as a customer service suggestion for new customers; maybe the wait staff could ask guests if they'd like to be added to the list instead of just handing out a menu without a word. I look forward to coming back next time around.-Walked in, asked if I could be seated outside, was handed a menu without a word from the staff. Waited for 20 minutes, no one came to take my order, so I left. Better service at the Waffle House down the road, I'm sure.

This place was awesome. I had an omlet which was really good and my husband had chicken fried steak which was delicious. The staff were very friendly.

I was expecting a tourist trap where the outside looks great, and the food is just ok, but you go for the experience and pay out the A$$. Big red Cafe was not that at all prices were decent and the food was really good. The workers were really friendly. Will go back for sure

Went on a Saturday morning and they were not too busy, sat right down. Service was quick, coffee was good and they kept it full. Food was delicious and they provided plenty of it. Very reasonably priced for Destin, especially for as much as you got. Would like to return and try something else from the menu.

Great little retro dinner. Lots of options, great service. We have been here 3 times, every year when we come down for spring break. Never had a wait time, not so expensive you fill you wasted any money, just over all a good, kid friendly, good food. Plus it’s a cool old dinner feel.

Great food and a fun place to eat! Burger and fries were great! My Philly Cheesesteak omelet was amazing! Tons of filling and flavor! Would definitely go back when we visit Destin again! Prices are very reasonable and service was very friendly! It was busy, so we sat at the counter so we didn'thave to wait for a table. Fun environment!

First of all, Pim was the greatest! The Cajun omelette was phenomenal! The kids loved their shrimp and chicken. My husband got the brisket hash. It was okay but dry. The milkshakes and floats were bomb!Kid-friendliness: Pim was the BEST! She took great care of all of us and treated our 10 and 4 year olds like VIP! My 10 year old said she was the best server in the whole world!

Bad service! Waited about 20 minutes and nobody took the time to even take our drinks, do not recomend and definitely won't be back

We sat down and waited for about 20 mins. Nobody ever came to get our drinks. Waitresses kept passing by and wouldn't even acknowledge us. I was in Destin on vacation and will say that I will not be back to this place on my future stays.

On vacation and after 10 minutes the waitress still would not take our order. Just think of a slum Waffle House. I have never had menu pricing as cash only or additional fee applies. Sounds like tax fraud. We went to Crackings down the road. Really good food there.
