Needing a break from the heat and large crowds, my friend and I stopped in, on a whim. We were given 2 seating options and chose to wait for the table that was finishing up, as it was located in the smaller section of tables to the right. We were seated after a very short wait on the patio, where we were given waters and menus to peruse. This worked out perfectly and gave me time to select a lovely French Rose’ called “Nature’s Revenge” which I highly recommend. It was served in a beautiful crystal glass that looked like it was plucked right out of a speakeasy during the roaring twenties!
We decided to skip the entree’s so that we could try a few appetizers and enjoy dessert. Both were phenomenal! Apologies for not remembering the names - the first was a flatbread with fig; the 2nd, little pieces of corn that looked like pickle spears. Both were bursting with delightful flavors that had my mouth watering for more! The desserts were even more delicious. The cheesecake was a surprising Philly/NY style blend with strawberry swirl. The tiramisu was, dare I say, the absolute best I’ve ever had!! The flavors of the tiramisu were perfectly balanced and light. I was a very happy girl!
The staff was also top tier! Our hostess and server were friendly, warm and made excellent suggestions. Ashley, the general manager, is another reason we will be back often. From checking on guests to supporting her staff, it was clear that she set the standard for others to follow.
With it being the busiest weekend in summer, we thought going out to dinner was a gamble but we won big with this choice. Thank you Ashley & staff for an amazing experience! We will be back. Often!

Not impressed! My previous review is below. The gentleman (grey long beard, did not introduce himself) who waited on us did not care. Did not ask if we would like a drink or offered us dessert. Neither did he mention if there were any specials. We have been coming here for years, and this is the first disappointing experience. Will try again once more.
Always on point!! I've been going here for the past few years. Very unassuming from the outside, but an amazing atmosphere on the inside! Highly recommend this place!

A+ restaurant. This is a hidden gem. The wings, duck, salmon, beet salad. Everything we had was great. The cocktails, Storm chaser and espresso martini were perfect. Highly recommend this place. Great environment and excellent service.

The cocktails/wine were on point, our food was delectable, but the service destroyed the experience. Yup. I would recommend all the things, although the fries had too much seasoning they were still really good. Just… not the service.
Multiple times trying to flag him down, pull information out or remind him of a missed drink or item. This isn’t hipster, it’s just a bad experience. Also, right up front, just let us know your name so I don’t have to say “hey,” I’ll remember... I don’t expect this poor service for $300. Help me give you money!
PS: I get it credit cards suck for fees, but 3.5% surcharge without letting us pay cash? What you doing?!

October 2024: Had a divine birthday dinner here. The food and beverages were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is darker and cozy creating a lovely ambiance. Absolutely loved everything about this place. Our server was phenomenal and did not miss a beat. Thank you for a lovely evening. Will definitely be back soon!

Tremendous meal. Love that the fries are cooked in healthy fat rather than hexane laden oil.
All I can say is WOW! Probably the best food I have had in my 12 years of being a Destin local. The food, drinks, and desserts are absolutely a 10/10 and unlike anything I have had! I tried the chefs special tonight which included a home made sausage that they case in house and the amount of flavor it had along with the coconut risotto left me speechless. Props to the chef!

For me this is absolutely the best restaurant in Destin. The cocktails are amazing and always changing. Their small plates are also absolutely fantastic. The service and atmosphere are great and I find myself making excuses to drive from Fort Walton Beach to Destin just to visit Bitterroot. This is a must visit place!!!
