Been vacationing from TN since 2016 to Destin/Okaloosa Island and every year Dewey Destin is a must stop for me. I have always recommended it to anyone coming down here. Even brought my family last year. BUT after today with the rude hostess attitude and eye rolls when requested to seat somewhere else with view of harbor. (One of the reasons to eat here) Then asked if the second floor was open (which she so no) so asked about if be open later that day at all she insisted no. Like they don’t open it at all. Strange how I have eaten up there prior years with no issues. Just whole staff attitude was/felt horrible and unwelcoming. It hurts me to say but I will no longer be recommending this place or eating there. There are other locations that have delicious seafood especially fresh blacken grouper with similar or better views and friendlier staff.

The atmosphere is really good I love the outdoor seating and tables. The lunch menu is just ok. I had the gumbo,wouldn't order it again. It's very tomato based, spiced good though and lots of shrimp but I wouldn't order it again. Fried shrimp was OK, ate one off hubby's plate. The cold slaw and hush puppies were very good. I would go back and try dinner.

The food was way over cooked. The shrimp were like pencil erasers. The Mahi was chewy like chicken. The hush puppies were as hard as golf balls and everything including the fries taste like fish. Two people $108 no drinks!

We love this place and we go back every time we travel to Destin. The food is great, they have covered outdoor patios. Hushpuppies are the BEST around! Good selection of food for our family. Family friendly and we had great service. Would recommend!
The gumbo was absolutely fantastic! The crab claws were decent but could definitely be better. The blackened fish was seasoned to perfection, although it was a bit dry. Overall, a lovely restaurant with great potential, just needs a few tweaks here and there.

We got the crab claws, Mate's platter, and amber jack platter. Everything was horribly bland. And only one table around us had a salt shaker. Definitely will not be back.
