Dewey Destin's Seafood Restaurant

Very good nice environment, outdoors or indoors. Don’t let the parking lot distract you from how the food taste. Food portion was large was way over the amount we actually had leftovers. staff was on point. They also give military discount.

Absolutely delicious! We ordered a fried shrimp basket and a three tail fish basket. Both hot, fresh and delicious. So glad we came!

Amazing food, the staff was amazing and were great with our dogs! Visiting from Texas and we are so glad we tried you guys! 110% would recommend to anyone wanting amazing service and fabulous food! We ordered fried shrimp, and grilled shrimp. Appetizer was the crab dip.

This restaurant was recommended by several people, so my family was excited to try it. We love trying and supporting locally owned businesses. While the staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was wonderful, the food left a lot to be desired. My husband and oldest son had the catch of the day and catfish, they compared it to frozen fish from the grocery store. My youngest son and I had shrimp, it was inedible as the grease it was fried in was old. We were disappointed with what we were told was a local gem.

Excellent experience. Visited about 630 on a Monday night. Got a seat at the very end of the dock. Amazing sunset, dolphins swimming by. Food: Grilled Triple Tail Special and Grilled Triple Tail sandwich with hush puppies. Everything was excellent. Prices appropriate for excellent quality fish. The atmosphere this evening was perfect.

I stopped in for an early dinner after a day at the beach and was not disappointed. This lovely little place right on the water was wonderful. I ordered the fried gulf shrimp basket. The man who took my order was smiling, friendly, and knew the menu well. I chose an outdoor table at the end of the dock overlooking the water. Beautiful view. My food was brought to me piping hot and every bit of it was delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a low key, casual meal in a beautiful outdoor setting. I will be back, for sure.

I love the atmosphere and the employees are great. This is a great place for locals to eat. Had the peel and eat royal reds, crab cake sandwich. The view is great and follow up snow cones or ice cream. Stopped by again the other day, they had Halloween waffle cones and the caramel apple butter ice cream was great

The worst food so far on our trip to Destin. It was so bland and flavorless. The sauce that they put on the grilled food is awful!!! The crab dip was horrible, bland and served with off brand ritz crackers. Wee want be back!!!!

Down home beer burger and seafood joint right on the docks.. Great food ...kinda cool today ..bet its banging in peak season..don't come here for white table service..but local seafood and cold beer is done right.. and it's dog friendly..so bring yer mutt!

I get the opportunity to visit the Destin area for business a few times a year and Dewey’s is ALWAYS on the list of places to eat. I’m partial to the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp is lightly battered and fried perfectly- you can actually taste the shrimp and not be overwhelmed by the batter. Portions are generous and I enjoy sitting on the dock enjoying the view. You just can’t go wrong at Dewey’s.

Dewey’s is still my favorite place to eat in the Destin area. Pretty much all of the seafood restaurants serve a fried shrimp basket but Dewey’s has the best and is the best value for the money that I have found. Feel free to try other places to verify it, but don’t be angry when you realize that you wasted your time and missed out on what has to be the best fried shrimp in the Destin area. Save yourself some time and just go there first. I guarantee you’ll want to keep going back.
