Update: The owner reached out to me right away and apologized. He did not charge me for the food. He told me this was not representative of what they serve at all and has invited me to give them another try. I’m very happy with the result of rectifying the problem. I will be trying their new location once it is open.Burnt, stale chicken. Not fresh at all. 12 piece didn’t come with large side, but very small ones. No moonpies. $50 ripoff.

I don't usually write reviews but this is a MUST VISIT!! The Cajun dipped chicken and their gumbo is absolutely amazing. If I lived here I'd be a regular! I wish I ordered the whole menu to try but I honestly devoured all the food I got :) Been to a bunch of chicken shops but this one stands above the rest for meMoe and the kitchen staff today know what hospitality means and they made us feel so welcome and whole. Will be coming back every time we're in Fort Walton for the service and amazing food. 10/5 experience

Went in and stood there 5 min., 1 person out front and no acknowledgement of me so just walked out. Never again.Bad Customer Service!

Gumbo...couldnt eat it.Macroni and Cheese no tasteNeed exhaust fans. Walked out and had to go home and shower and wash hair. Very disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic chicken. Leaving town after a 7 day stay in Destin, and this may have been the best food we ate all trip. Don’t be turned off by the gas station atmosphere. The chicken doesn’t play. Unbelievably good stuff.

Man, listen. I just moved here to FWB. I have been craving chicken and I already knew the regular places weren’t going to cut it. I had saw the Dixieland restaurant when moving into the storage unit. A few days later I decided to give it a try. This is the closest you will get to home made - this chicken is yummy ?. You have to try. Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself.Update 09-02-2023:When I first went here it was really great. Above expectations the first and second time. Now every time I go. I never get what I order. I always order cajun dipped chicken and my orders are never dipped. I guess somethings are just one time.

We gave in and decided to try this place… worst decision. We went in and was met with attitude from the get go. Guy from the back cooking was mad we came in about an hour before closing, stated well, guess you are lucky. Lady taking our order had a horrible attitude. We weren’t the only ones coming in at this time! Food took about 20 minutes, which was no big deal. Got home and my husband had the chicken livers, he stated they were ok. His sides, not so good. I ordered the pot pie, while I like some heat… it was so spicy I could barely eat it. The slaw was not good at all. All I could taste was the vinegar. Worst part… less than 30 minutes of us eating, I was horribly sick! I was sick most of the night. We willNot be going back!
