First off, you have to go to the counter and place your order. You have to get your own drinks. It’s more like a fast food establishment rather than a restaurant with waiters and waitresses. The shrimp was good, but with the half pound shrimp only one potato, not a large portion of food. Had to ask for cheese with the shrimp scampi, and it was shredded like cooking cheese. Went to Fish-On in Destin today and had an awesome experience. The manager and chef both came out and introduced themselves, which you don’t see much anymore. We learned they’re one of only three restaurants in Destin serving locally caught seafood that’s truly fresh — never frozen — and you can taste the difference.

Not on the beach, but the food is really good. Kind is a simple place, with counter service (order at the counter and they bring it to you). We had the blackened grouper with mac&cheese, and the grilled tuna with Cajun rice. The grouper was delicious and cooked just as we liked it (not overdone) making it flaky and flavorful.
