Kayleigh (I hope I’m spelling her name right) is absolutely amazing! My family and I found this place on google and decided to try it, at first we were a bit nervous because we have an autistic son and weren’t sure we’d be welcome. We were greeted and served amazingly by Kayleigh the entire time! My son eventually had a small emotional outburst and knocked over a glass of water making a small scene and I immediately was reduced to tears because I could hear the other patrons talking about us, immediately I felt humiliated and maybe we were at the wrong place. Kayleigh came out and helped me wipe up the water with towels and was so incredibly kind and understanding!! Thank you Kayleigh! You are a gem!

We ate Breakfast Lunch and Dinner at the GV Bar & Grill and all three meals were fantastic. The interior restaurant is classically beautiful and romantic. A full photo array of historic Destin decorates the walls while the pool deck over looks the beautiful Destin harbor. This has to be one of the most stunning places on the Emerald Coast. The staff were quick and very pleasant.
Vegetarian options: The salads are delicious.
Dietary restrictions: They have some gluten-free options
Parking: Parking was easy. On day one we parked in the exterior lot. On day two we had grandma with us so we parked in the interior lot in a handicap space right across from the Pineapple elevators, which took us directly up to the grand Vista pool deck, bar, and grill. From mid March to early October, there is a $20 parking fee, but it was well worth it because of all the amenities.
Kid-friendliness: They have great standard fare for the kiddos. My kids played checkers and watched TV while the adults enjoyed some libations.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator from the parking garage that will take you up to the grand Vista pool deck, or you can enter through the lobby and take the elevator directly into the restaurant.

I chose to visit this location based on the pictures available online. I thought it was going to be a classy locale. When I was finally able to find the entrance to the seating area. The bar is very small and the tables are crowded. The menu is equivalent to a sports bar menu, and the quality of drinks was lacking. They had the basic/generic brands. I left after one drink...

We visit this resort at least twice a year for over 5 years to enjoy the happy hour 1/2 off menu, that have chicken bites, calamari and other items. The food and service was excellent! But now under new management with no happy hour, no chicken bites, no calamari! Well! We will have to go out to eat now!

Grilled shrimp was some of the best I've had. Others in our group also raved about the Chicken Tenderloins and Fish Fingers.Also some nice kids choices and the drinks were poured strong!
