They now are charging $20 for parking. I've been coming to Destin since the early 80s and this is the 1st time I've been charged. Unless you want a boat ride skip it. It's sad.

My husband and I don’t enjoy tourist scenes at the beach but we came during the heat of the day to get out of the beachside sun. We just praise God we didn’t park in the $20 lot as we were directed by Google and hunted for 30 minutes for free 2-hour parking by the cemetery (you’re welcome) as we only spent an hour here. We shared a $10 milkshake — the costs of everything was exorbitant but we somewhat expected that. We’re not drinkers or shoppers so we walked along the docks. It was a nice activity to kill some time but we would NOT pay $20 to do it. Looks a lot cooler from the bridge driving over than up close in person. If you’re not a drinker or a shopper either, I would spend your time elsewhere. On a different note, every worker from the Visitor Center and various stores we walked past were kind and personable.

Best place on the Emerald Coast to eat, shop, and party. It’s family friendly with tons of activities for the Littles. A huge marina is connected to the enormous boardwalk where you can see everything from Dolphins to Pelicans playing in the harbor. They have zip lines, rock walls, and an arcade to have fun in. 5 star fun! The sunsets are breathtaking.

What are all these 5 star reviews? This was a joke. Nothing going on, barely any shops and the vendors outside were dirty and looked everything was pure junk. Don’t waste your time!
