Really enjoyed our stay here. If you are looking around for places in Destin and aren’t sure where to choose, be assured this property will fulfill all your needs. Centrally located, Harborwalk, outlets, restaurants and grocery stores all a quick car ride away. On the property they have excellent amenities and friendly staff. Of course the best feature is the proximity to the beach! It is just a short walk out from the hotel, and unlike other places, they have a walkway so you don’t have to trudge across the deep hot sand in order to get to the water. Overall, it is a great place and we will most likely make this our go to place for our yearly family vacations!

Location was perfect because we were beach front Destin. Can’t really speak to service other than the Tiki bar with excellent beverages! The accommodations were not as described and disappointing. I don’t foresee any future visits to this location.

The lady at front desk was rude.
The place is perfect for solo or family stay

Pelican Beach 1018 was wonderful. Plenty of room for 2 couples. It had everything we needed available right in the condo. The resort was clean, the staff friendly, and service was great from the front desk to the café, and the tiki bar on the beach. The owner was very helpful, friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Exactly as advertised. The rooms were clean and decorated beautifully. We had an amazing time and will be back for sure.

Location is perfect on the Ocean . Unit is Vrbo which RealJoy has been great. Any problems you text them and they handle right away . Will use them again. The rental service for the chairs LDV is HORRIBLE they can’t do anything without computer. They move your chairs every day. Which is crazy. I have been coming here for years and every year the chair service is worst.
The cafe is only open for breakfast and lunch.

Horrible!!! This place continues to get worse and worse… 12 years we have come here. Last year, dryer started a fire so no washer/dryer… this year, first day. Washer goes down due to sand; they want to allow $10 for washer and dryer on a 13 day rental, I was blown considering we spent $6800 on a condo with a washer/dryer for this reason. Our cost for the amount of ppl during the stay to wash was $22.00 each day.

Horrible experience have stayed there a few times in the past has really gone downhill low quality rooms outdated staff is rude even worse security guards run it like a prison have ridiculous rules can have a good time my family was evicted late at night all for our daughter was supposedly vaping near the pool area wouldn't show camera footage to prove it also witnessed several times security at night harassing guests for no real reason I would not recommend staying here at all not worth theheadache or money on top of it all asked to speak to management and was told nobody was available thr security was doing whatever they wanted with nobody to control them totally mind blowing ruined our family vacation after driving there 11 hours just to be thrown out for something so simple.

Absolutely love Pelican Beach Resort. I love the vibe, all the way from the tiki hut, to the beachside service. Highly recommend this place. We stayed in the terrace 1004. We had amazi g views and a 3 br 2 bath unit. So much fun and wr will be back very often

This was by far the nastiest and most crowded place we have stayed in ten years of coming to the beach. The elevators, stairwells, walls, and glass doors
were disgusting. The elevators weren’t cleaned the ENTIRE time we were there, which was 6 days. We had to use the stairs the majority of the time because of the wait for the elevators. The pools were so crowded my kids refused to even attempt to use them. Every night only one pool was open which actually caused the majority of the crowding in the evening. Also, witnessed multiple drunk people nearly get into a brawl at the pool from our balcony. Glass beer bottles by the pools, trash everywhere. (Which was attempted to be halfway cleaned up by 830-9am by the staff.) So you wake up and look out your balcony to see trash, bottles, and things people left behind from the day before EVERY morning. No luggage carts to be found on our arrival and had to carry everything to our room, got lucky with finding one to use to check out. The air conditioner in the unit barely cooled the condo. My kids were so hot that we had to order box fans from Walmart for them to be able to sleep at night. The shower also barely drained.

Also, to top it off, we left behind a toiletry bag, which luckily I had video proof that we left it because I did a video of the room before we checked out to avoid being accused of damage. We called the front desk when we got home after we realized we left it, told them we had video proof that we left it behind, they miraculously found it and mailed it back (which cost us 35 dollars). It just arrived minutes ago and— OF COURSE— a large bottle of cologne had been stolen out of it. Will never go here again.

Decent location though and the food from the bistro/tiki bar was decent and thank goodness the water was nice. That’s all I have good to say.

It is the best location in Destin! Beach, pools, tiki bar, cafe for breakfast sandwiches, and lunch. Every condo is different, some are nicer than others.

The location of this resort is great. The beach rules are not. I was unaware of their beach rules when I booked and was only informed when I checked in, which was too late to cancel. If you do book here make sure to ask for the chair reservation link, I was not given this so only 4th & 5th row rental chairs were available. I can’t justify sitting that far back when I’ll have to walk to the shore to watch my children play in the ocean, the chairs would be useless. The front row books up, and would require a reservation before your arrival. There is beach “security” that sits at the front and polices everyone that tries to sit along the shore in the wet sand. They set up 5 rows of chairs pretty close together. The front row is able to see their children in the water, any other rows will need to move up to watch their children play in the water. When you move up they will continuously tell you to move. They are allowed to block their 2nd through 5th rows with their own chairs but no one can sit in the wet sand way in front of their front row. No tents or canopies are allowed and there is a cooler size limit. If you bring your own beach setup you have to do it behind their 5th row of chairs. We were still asked to move out of the wet sand way beyond their first row of chairs even when no one was sitting behind us, we explained we would move if anyone came and no one sat in the chairs the whole day (it was over cast so there wasn’t many people out that day). We were threatened to be evicted if we didn’t move. This is the only place as far as I could see down the beach on both sides that had the chairs set up this way with ropes on both sides and a security guard. Every other place had 1-2 rows and were spaced out. Thankfully we were able to move over in front of the neighboring condo in their wet sand so I could keep an eye on my kids in the water. I attached a picture of what it looked like behind us when we were repeatedly asked to move from the shore line, and threatened with eviction. I prefer a more relaxed beach atmosphere and will not be returning.

The elevators did not work properly and our unit smelled terribly of boiled seafood when we entered. There was also trash left behind in the bathroom, bedroom, and living area. A dirty rolled up sheet was also left on top of the couch and the dishwasher was full of dishes.

I have also submitted all this info with our booking company. Our unit was 1714.
