Poppy's Crazy Lobster Destin

Excellent dinner! Had the seafood salad along with gumbo. Crab and shrimp were cooked properly, fried green tomatoes were great! Gumbo had an excellent flavor. We will be back!

They accommodated us as a walk-in group of 11. The service and food were both excellent. View of the sunset was also spectacular. I would definitely go back.

I was hesitant after reading Google reviews but we went with a group so I put my best foot forward. The reviews are wrong or the management and/or chefs have stepped it up. The atmosphere was perfect as we sat a large round table in the corner next to the windows with a view.
The service was top-notch with a very attentive server.
We started with the firecracker shrimp, fish dip and spinach dip; they were all delicious.
I ordered the lobster bisque and it is the best I have ever had with big chunks of lobster in almost every bite!
The table ordered a variety of entrees from redfish, lobster ravioli, snapper to chicken with everyone enjoying their dinner! We will return to this restaurant the next time we are in Destin!

We were invited as part of a large group to have dinner here. Saw the review score of 3.8 and wasn’t looking forward. However! This place was terrific! Amazing food- I have the snapper. My wife had the redfish. Both were phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and go and enjoy delicious food and Terri’s service in a great atmosphere that is well soundproofed so you can actually hear each other talk. Highly recommend!! We will be back on our next trip to Destin.

after eating at several other restaurants in town and eating the terrible , terrible food. This restaurant was a surprise. They have a distinctive wine collection, and I had the chicken parmesan dish which was lovely and a welcome change to the rubbish that I had eaten before at other places with a higher Google rating. Those places were terrible and their Chicken was like rubber and the food was atrocious. hear the service was acceptable, and the food was acceptable as well

Absolutely terrible for a place with such potential and location. Food was tasteless, lukewarm, and over priced. Much of it appeared to be frozen food. I just wanted lobster with drawn butter but that wasn’t on the menu at “the crazy lobster “. Atmosphere was dead. The waitress tried her best but hard to overcome a terrible experience.

This place is SO good! My husband and I had the surf and turf. My son had the kids chicken tenders and fries. All of it was hot and fresh and delicious!
Our waitress (Trudi) was amazing. My son was extremely HANGRY when we got there. Trudi put his order in first and it came out with our appetizer (fried pickles) and drinks (beer and Category 5). He was full and happy again which made dinner more pleasant for us. LoL
We sat outside and enjoyed the beach and music. Definitely a great place!

This place is a tourist trap. Got the lobster melt. The lobster meat tasted like it was canned and then microwaved. Reminiscent of imitation krab surimi but worse. Rubbery and flavorless. The pepper jelly was overly sweet and the whole dish was strange. Would not pay $5 for it much less the $33 they charged for it.

Very disappointed experience.
Came there while on vacation on Tuesday 07/16/2024. And our server is extremely slow. Ordered red fish and red snapper dishes and they’re not anywhere close to fresh. Soup is very salty as well.
When we done and go down stair, my wife just borrow 1 of their table to organized my kid bag. And was yelled by an extremely rude lady.
Would never be back again.

Awful service. Had to ask everytime we needed a refill. They have completely changed the menu and the food has suffered. Poor quality of food and cheaper sides instead of the quality they once had. I have come to Baytown specifically for this place for 7 years and I will never be back. AWFUL!
