Primrose Restaurant

We had the best service and food during our stay at Henderson Beach Resort. This was our favorite dinner. Our server Milan was the BEST!

We enjoyed an anniversary meal at Primrose Coastal Italian last night. This restaurant was hard to find because it is within the Henderson Beach Resort complex, inside what appears to be an Inn with valet parking in front. Good news: we were told, after some car moving, that valet parking is free to restaurant guests. Our table on the patio was just shady and cool enough for us to enjoy eating outside after a humid summer, the pool below the patio provided a nice lapping water sound (though I'm sure it can get loud from people during the season when the pool is full). Charmed by our kind and friendly waiter, Milan - everything was bound to taste great, and it did. We had bread, mussels (best thing we ate), and shared a whole red snapper with fingerling potatoes, and a side of asparagus spears. I enjoyed an Aperol Spritz (no limoncello available for an Amalfi Spritz) and my husband enjoyed a Sazerac (fyi- husband couldn't find any beer options on the menu, there were a few cocktails and a reasonably large selection of wines). Milan treated us to dessert for our special occasion, but we were full enough that we asked for a bit of fruit instead of the rich treats on the menu and were delighted when he brought us a bowl of beautiful berries. Milan is what made the visit really special. This is nice for a special date night, and if you plan your dinner around seeing the sunset from the beach or the building's rooftop bar - it is dinner and a show. (Approx. $200 including 23% tip for 2 people sharing 2 antipasti, 1 secondo, 1 contorno, 3 drinks.)

Just okay. I was expecting a slightly higher tier of quality. Beautiful environment and very good service though.

The service was incredible and if one went for just service it would be great. However the food left so much to be desired. The food was lack luster and at the premium price paid, it was quite honestly terrible. Would not go back.

Had one of the best dinners and exceptional service! Jennifer was simply amazing. She deserves all 5 stars! Perfect knowledge of the menu, fantastic recommendations and prompt service! The food was beyond delicious and fresh! We had hand made spaghetti (mine with shrimp), Mac’n’cheese as an appetizer though it comes as a side, smoked old fashioned and bread pudding for dessert! Make sure to save room for dessert! Mykhailo brought our food and took our pictures for us, thank you so much for your service as well! Will definitely come back!!!

We were looking for something close (walkable). The food was not great ........the grouper was over cooked, risotto was ok, and the carbonara was not creamy at all. Not a place I would go back to.

The pistachio crusted grouper was delicious! Out of the 3 dips that came with the bread, the Parmesan spread is outstanding! Service was wonderful!

The food is always wonderful here but this time we had the grouper and it was 10 stars. Also what makes Primrose so special is Jennifer - we always request her and she is outstanding.

The food was terrible. Worst food I have had in a long time. Over salty . Staff is amazing and professional. For such an expensive hotel we expected better food.

Not only was Primrose and exceptional Italian Restaurant, it was one of the best restaurants I have eaten at in the past ten years. It exceeded expectations on every account!

The food at Primrose was so delicious and our waiter was amazing to talk to! I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

Dinner was absolutely outstanding! We shared the Blue Crab Zeppole, the Gulf Grouper, the Linguini al Fruitti di Mare and the Bread Pudding. I honestly couldn't tell you that one dish was better than another. They were all fantastic. Our server was Jennifer and she was delightful and wonderfully attentive.
We will definitely return!

Had been to The Henderson Resort before, with a different restaurant there, and was excited to go for our granddaughter's birthday and were very disappointed. All 4 of us had meals that were not at all good. One had pork meatballs with raw meat in the middle, the pasta was tasteless, the grouper overcooked. The waiter actually agreed the meatballs were raw and immediately took them away. The chicken was terrible - over seasoned. We had a Caesar salad that was good, but that's all. Too bad the resort has this as their finer dining option. The pool bar was much better.

Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. The good was very good. I loved the crab fritters and the gnocchi with scallops! Great desserts too!

Food was incredible! Service with Jennifer was impeccable! Loved the whole experience...made for a relaxing wonderful night. Order the crab zeppole! Won't be dissapointed!
