Rick’s Sand Trap Beach Bar & Grill

Walked up from the beach, and got a fresh Mahi Mahi sandwich, and enjoyed it with a stunning view. Great prices too! I’ve been vacationing at Sandpiper with my family the past few years, and we always look forward to our lunches at Rick’s.

Amazing little place to eat at while staying in Destin! We did stay on Sandpiper Cove so we were able to easily walk up. DO NOTE that you will have to walk from the beach if not staying at Sandpiper.

Staff was very friendly and the good was great, perfect to overlook the beach while you eat your food. Go for the grilled stuff!

We have loved the delicious food and drinks at Rick's Sand Trap for many years! Our favorite is the Blackened Grouper Sandwich and the Blackend Grouper Taco! We higly recommend Rick's Sand Trap! We love the atmosphere right on the beautiful Emerald coast!

Very clean bathrooms. Cash only but they have an atm. Bar food but was good. They have a selection of alcoholic beverages. Great place to have right on the beach.

We stayed at sandpiper cove and loved Ricks sand trap! We had the hot dogs, fries, chicken fingers, and cheese sticks. All were really good! The drinks were great too and it’s a great view while you eat! Love this place!

The hours posted online state they close at 5:00. I walked a really long way on the beach and arrived at 4:30, only to find out the kitchen closed at 3:30. I was informed that the kitchen hours were changed after Labor Day (this was four days after Labor Day). I was not allowed to purchase food, so I left and walked all the back empty handed. They should post on their Google listing and Facebook page that no food is served after 3:30.

Only open for those staying at the condos there. Would have been nice to know before we ubered there.

You have to walk to this place on the beach but worth the walk.

The reason we vacation in Destin and at Sandpiper Cove. We love Rick’s! Best fish sandwich around and fantastic margaritas. You can’t beat the view and atmosphere. Always friendly faces and fresh food. They were open until the end of October 2022 for our late beach trip. We really appreciated that as lots of places were closed or had short hours for off season. We are looking forward to our trip this year in a few weeks and so excited to get to enjoy this gem again!
