Delicious Turkey dinner served beach side, it was excellent! Valerie is super accommodating, friendly professional and courteous. First thing, green beans(?) out of this world good, Mac & Cheese, unbelievable. Turkey, perfectly seasoned, moist, Dressing, epic, peach cobbler amazing. Candied Yams, unbelievably good, not overly sweet, but delicious. I am so glad we found Soul Bistro. Cant wait for our next beach vacay!

These folks can cook. They catered a 30 person meal of beef tips, turkey, corn bread and rolls, green beans, peach cobbler, candies yams and pound cake. The delivered and setup on time and all the food was tasty. Added a special treat with little bubbly for birthday girl, There are also nice people. Sorry for no pictures but we dug in before I thought about it.

Staff is very nice and friendly (5 stars)We ordered takeout. My favorite item was the cabbage. Hubby liked the black eyed peas and Mac and cheese. They were seasoned well. The fried chicken was cooked well and crispy but very light on seasoning.

Had a delicious lunch of fried chicken, yams and green beans with a perfectly made Arnold Palmer. My dining partner had meatloaf with greens and mashed potatoes. It was so good I was half way through eating when I remembered to take a photo! And yes - had to get dessert-really could have taken home all the desserts! Will be eating here whenever I am in town. And also ordered my New Years dinners! Starting off 2022 with the best food out there!

The Mr. And I have been passing this place for months and I'm SO thankful we finally stopped in today. First off the place is decorated beautifully, it's clean, pristine, and very warm and welcoming. You are greeted instantly by some lovely, beautiful, and kind women. They ask you if you're dining in or if it's to-go and they explain the process to glory. We decided to dine in after seeing the beautifully prepared food in front of us, and we both opted for the pot roast and man was that a great choice. We both gotmashed potatoes and I got collard greens and I have to say it's the best meal I've eaten in Destin in all 3 years of us living here. They explained several events coming this week all targeted towards helping people. You can FEEL the love in that place and in every bite. I honestly don't know why you're still sitting there reading this when your bellies could be so happily fed at this piece of souls heaven. I cannot wait to try other meals. We're currently racing home to devour this sweet potato pie. Praise God for good food in Destin finally!!!! Great job Soul Bistro you won some loyal folks here.

The WORST food I have had in a long time! The food is premade and sitting in metal pans under heat lamps. I guess the lamps are just there so you can see the food because it is cold. They know it is cold, because they offer to microwave it for you in a little microwave behind the counter. Once the food is warmed up in the microwave, you can now pay for your meal, $52 for the two of us, we each had and meal and drink. The drinks are 20oz bottled soda. There is also a dessert counter with quite a few options, I am not sure what is homemade but I saw a stickers from Walmart on the banana pudding and cobbler. This restaurant really needs to rethink things, people don't want to eat things made in the morning or night before and have sat out all day. This restaurant should make food when you order it and get rid of the heat lamps and cold dried out food. Also, if you made the food for each customer it would be reasonable to charge $25 a plate. If you choose to keep it like you have it, you should invest in commercial grade food heating and make food fresh every hour or so. It is unacceptable to eat food in the afternoon that has been there all day, as the young lady serving me stated. Soul Bistro please revisit your business plan. The idea is great the delivery is horrific.

This place is awesome and a must visit if you like local, down home food cooked with love. Valerie and her team were super friendly even though we showed up 30 minutes before closing time. Valerie explained the entire menu including the sides. The chicken and smothered pork chop were great not to mention the sides - collard greens, black eyed peas, sweet potatoes, and regular mashed. If you want local, home cooked food this is your place. We loved it and will certainly return.

I’m from southern Alabama. This did not meet my expectations as far as food. The chicken had no flavor, the peach cobbler was not sweet and had a terrible dough like flavor, and the chocolate cake tasted as if it was store bought. I’m saddened and expected better from a Soul food restaurant. However, the atmosphere was nice. We paid $60 for three meals, desserts, and bottled drinks.

Sorry - food was just mediocre. Was expensive for lunch - for a protein (meat) and two sides $25.98 plus $2.98 each for two small glasses of lemonade. We were there around 1:30 pm. Service was slow. Gentleman preparing food in containers was slow - then food had to be warmed in the microwave. Apparently both lady owners were out but they came in while we were eating. They were very friendly however they started telling a walk-in customer (getting take out) that they also had fried pork chops and meat loaf. Those things were not on the serving line nor offered to us. We had high expectations for this new restaurant but I’ll be surprised if they make it - too expensive for what you get plus food was just mediocre.
