We came in town for a junior golf tournament & made our way to Crab Trap. The sunset was amazing and our server Thayne was excellent. He took the time to put on a pair of gloves and show our son how to crack some crabs and get all the meat out of the 3 pound steamer. Great memories

We arrived and it looked empty but were told it would be a 30 minute wait, we didnât make a reservation because it said âno reservationsâ online. We watched multiple parties come in and be seated which was strange but we still waitedâŠafter about 35 minutes we were seated at a table that had been open the entire time and immediately after that a party of 14 was seated which was double the size of our party. We started looking over the menu and noticed the menu online that we looked at while waiting didnât match their physical menu and when we asked about it we were told they remove those specials due to the holiday specials.. so we decided to leave after seeing chicken strips priced at $25. I canât rate the food because we didnât eat here because of all of this but in my opinion itâs your typical tourist trap. We wonât be back but the views were pretty also wanted to add in case you have kids and saw the playground online that they didnât have one at this location or I just couldnât find it.

Tom at Crab Trap did an amazing job ensuring my girlfriend, who has a severe shellfish allergy, was comfortable eating there. We also just had the best service in general and genuinely appreciate Tom making us feel at home!

I would leave more stars if I could. I have a severe shellfish allergy and our server Tom went absolutely above and beyond to make sure I was safe to eat here. Not only was he super knowledgeable about cross-contamination, he made recommendations on what was safe and how to even improve each meal. He took it very seriously and the food itself was AMAZING. Great experience and Tom was truly a great server. Highly recommend coming here (especially if you get Tom)

We stopped in to the Crab Trap on a Wednesday evening in January. Our server, Daniella was awesome. We ordered lobster bites as an appetizer which were very good. We both got the fried seafood platter which we enjoyed immensely. We were told the fish was Cobia and it was done perfectly. There was also shrimp, crab, coleslaw, fries and hush puppies. Watched a beautiful sunset while we dined. Great experience!
Fabulous meal for 4 guests each with different styles and tastes. All meals were well prepared and seasoned. Fish was flaky with perfect seasoning! Mixed Vegetables complimented the meal and were fork tender. Could not have asked for a better meal. Very quick turn around time from order to table! Tomas an excellent server!*****

The food was not good. The hushpuppies were not cooked through, the coleslaw was warm, the portion size was not appropriate for the price, very small fish filets. I have dined here before and this was the most disappointing meal.
