Found this when I was walking the boardwalk while on vacation in Destin. What’s cool about this place is you can buy scoops of ice cream from vendors or do a create your own with types of custard.
They have an island of different types of toppings you can add to your creation. When you’re satisfied you can have it weighed and you pay by that weight.
I paid around 11.56 per pound and for my family our desert was around 70.00-80.00. It’s very unique and I have not had desert at a place like that before. If you only like the basics I can quickly see this becoming expensive. If you like a little bit of variety I could see this paying off. For Destin I don’t really feel like the prices are that bad, everything is more expensive here.

Visited The Fudgery on January 1,2025 and it will certainly be the first and last time at this business. Came to get my three kids ice cream with my wife and the kids. The kids got their ice cream with toppings from the machines but the line which was only ONE family in front of us took forever to ring them out… so long that all the ice cream had melted just waiting in line for 15 minutes beyond ridiculous. Next we finally get to the cashier and this “salesmen” was beyond rude speaking to my wife which she wanted to order fudge and ice cream to go which instantly put her off to spend money here. How do you expect to keep customers if both employees are rude to people? Judging from prior reviews shows no sense in urgency to fix the issue at hand. The Destin HarborWalk I a very expensive place to be and shop at so service should reflect that. Will not recommend will not return.

Server Edward, dropped my cup on the ground, proceeded to fill it up with ice cream, and handed it to me, when asked to remake, he denied, I asked for a full refund, at this point he was extremely rude and had to be asked 3-4 times for a refund. Rudely asked my family to step aside and to go see his other co-worker. Moral of the story Edward the server here is awfully rude, and very disrespectful to customers. To be right on Destin harbor and serving ice cream, you would think he would come with a different attitude but from other reviews this seems to be a common occurrence.

I do not recommend this place, the service is terrible. The man working was so rude to my family and I and it overall just ruined the whole experience and atmosphere. The way we got treated they shouldn’t even deserve one star.

Ice cream was fine, not the best I’ve ever had but certainly good. Service however, HORRIBLE. we almost walked out. The gentleman serving us was rude to us several times including looking at my mom like she was dumb when she asked what was in the ice cream she was ordering and saying “I don’t know” in a rude tone and seemingly bothered tone, as well as implying that it was her fault that he hadn’t asked if she wanted a cone or a bowl, when he assumed she wanted a bowl and she politely asked for a cone and telling me he “didnt care” what I did when I asked if I could grab my ice cream and put toppings on it. He was the only one working that we saw. Overall just a super rude guy that ruined the experience.

The ice cream was really good. However, the experience was pretty much ruined by the lack of manners and blatant rudeness we received from the employees. They were rushing us out and saying everything was closed down even though the store hours displayed clearly said they were open. We were met with dirty looks and snappy remarks the whole time we were in there. So unwelcoming and off putting.
