Cool rooftop bar. Gets crowded and busy at sunset. Food takes a while but this isn’t the place you come to for a quick bite.
A great experience with the best view. @sunset
They have sushi now and it’s fantastic! Great bar staff, local discounts, unbelievable atmosphere and view. 100% check this place out.
Up scale vacation style. Very nice
Service is horrible and they don’t care. Had to get my own set up, water. They said the had crackers for gluten free they did not, they brought potato chips. They never came to clear the table, we had to ask for a box which was ripped, after 45 minutes we finally got someone and they told us to go to the bar and pay. Seriously insulting.
Experience of a Lifetime! Photos pale to the in-person sensory delight: Gentle Gulf Breeze, Waft of Salt Air and Breath Taking Views!
We had a couple of drinks while watching the sunset. Great view looking towards the west over the state park and into the gulf.

We came in with our bachelorette party and, despite the place not being busy, we watched the waitstaff openly argue over who would take our table. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, setting the tone for the rest of our experience. Unfortunately, the service didn’t improve from there—once we received our food and drinks, no one checked on us, and the staff wasn’t friendly. Overall, it left us disappointed.

Did not find the wait staff to be friendly. Cool cups and tasty drinks, though.

Stunning views stunning service, the only thing is it’s very confusing figuring out if you’re supposed to order from the bar or sit and be taken care of. A lot of people around us the whole week were also confused as to where to sit when you walk in. I’m sure there are simple solutions a cute sign, a cute greeting but to avoid unnecessary bad comments and customers we need to avoid the confusion. The girls up here are sweet as sugar and the view is ever better !

Great view, and love the renovations they’ve done over the past year. Beers are reasonably priced at $7.
The food and cocktails though are not worth the view. We had two standard cocktails that came to $50 with tip. One of them was a martini with blue cheese olives. The blue cheese was Walmart quality — you wouldn’t really know it was a blue. We had the ceviche which came out like a soup, mostly underwater in a bowl filled with a lime broth. Needless to say the food was ruined from being over-limed. It might have been a little better it had been accompanied by salted tortilla chips, but instead it came with some wafer-thin, limp flatbread. The hot crab dish was good, but $32 for a small ramekin-sized portion. So, love the location, but the food and beverage service don’t stand up to the Four Seasons-level pricing.
If you are looking for a family friendly vacation, this resort is not it. Save your money and go elsewhere…here is why. Pros of resort…The rooms and resort itself are beautiful and maintained. We liked the offerings of complimentary fitness classes, like yoga and spin. We had complimentary paddle boards, this was great! Complimentary Starbucks coffee and water as well. The cons of resort…no one followed up as my younger son had a medical emergency on resort property, pools, lack of customer service, extra charges for everything, no mini fridges in hotel rooms or microwave and lack there of kids activities at resort. My son was bitten by multiple jellyfish on the beach. Security was called. Sean was great as well as beach attendants. I’m shocked that a manager did not step in and or check on the situation. Maybe they were not notified or maybe didn’t care, but was a scary situation for us. With the pools, why do you have multiple lazy rivers and not provide a tube to float down the pool with?! The resort charges $36 per tube at one of their stores. You don’t go to a water park and purchase tubes when you get there? We left the resort to go buy tubes to find out another pool on another part of the resort offered tubes, also a different owner we later found out. Why charge a $47 resort fee per day if you can’t supply a simply amenity for the pool? Extra charges…beach chairs to rent are anywhere from $80-$100 per day…again other resorts in the area don’t charge for this. Most days towels were not available at the pool or the beach, so we enjoyed sitting in the sand :) As far as food on the resort…last call for drinks and food of any kind was at 4:45pm each day poolside. I am pretty sure ppl like to have dinner by the pool or even a drink and this was not the case. No outside drinks are allowed but when you cut off services to your guests this should not be the case. This left us with restaurants on site and spend a few $$$$ or go to a local Destin restaurant and wait 3hrs, not my idea of relaxing. Customer service, you’re not greeted or attended to unless you pay the $$$ valet fee. When I checked in no one greeted me, showed me where anything was, it was oh your self parking and do you have your credit card?! No one on the resort is knowledgeable about events on property, restaurant suggestions or activities outside of the resort. Henderson posts certain things on FB and when I inquired do you make that drink here? Response was oh I don’t know never heard of it. That was the response in general from all staff of I am not sure or don’t live in Destin. I will say Paislee and Mia were very helpful with certain aspects of registration and checkout, I did appreciate their helpfulness and their awesome customer service. With kids activities I thought there would be more activities like tie dye stations, stuffing a stuffed animal, finding shark teeth in the sand etc. There was 2 activities while we were there mini golf and movie by the pool. The movie didn’t work after about 30 mins and then the mini golf was not a mini golf course just a chance to hit the ball twice. My family and I travel a lot and the overall feel we all felt from this resort was a Ritz Carlton budget and customer service of the Holiday Inn. I did fill out a guest survey. We will be back to Destin but not at this resort.
Terrible service. The server came over when we sat down at a table but we hadn't had enough time to look at the menu yet so we asked for a couple minutes and then she never came back. We waited for 30 min and then my fiancé even went to the bar to order the drinks and she ignored him and took orders from 3 other guys that arrived after him so we just left. It was my birthday and as locals we were excited to try this place but it was so disappointing.
