First time at The Surf Hut. Great view of the beach from the restaurant. Our server Logan was very attentive. We tried the popcorn shrimp, blackened cobia, and the kids mahi plate. Prices were reasonable.

We all got explosive diarrhea from their “fresh” seafood. We had oysters and mahi plate with coleslaw and salad for lunch and it was sickening, literally!

Today was a very lukewarm experience. We usually come during the peak season, we went tonight and it was obvious that this wasn’t peak season. All proteins were overcooked at our table and if it was fried it was greasy like it was dropped then re-dropped. Wish that I had taken pictures! The care wasn’t there. Could be talent hired or management, no clue. Our server Lisa was pleasant and attentive. Not her fault at all she accommodated us by trading out the over done grouper we got, other than her and a random older gentleman server the vibes were down.. Typically one of our favorite places to go. We will be hesitant and try to go only during peak season/ hours in hopes for a better experience. Hope a manager sees this and corrects the issue for future business cuz one never came to the table when we voiced our concerns to Lisa. One order of fried grouper was taken off, so I’ll give ‘em’ that. Fingers crossed.

Amazing spot on the beach for a quick drink/ lunch. Food was amazing and the staff was next level. Some spots make you feel like just another tourist in town, but not this place. Definitely will be on the look out for them next time we come to town!
