I had a horrible experience at this place yesterday, the manager definitely needs to improve on customer service, I’m never going back to this place. I do not recommend for a party over 4 people because apparently it can be too much work for them. Very disappointing.
I would like to express our deep dissatisfaction with the treatment we received at Backyard Kitchen Doral. We went as a group of coworkers hoping to enjoy a casual meal after work, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
From the moment we arrived, the manager made it clear we were not welcome, simply because we were a large group. His reasoning was that there were “too many people, too many orders, and too much noise,” which, frankly, should never be a problem for any restaurant that promotes itself as a social or group-friendly venue.
Instead of handling the situation professionally, his attitude was rude, impatient, and dismissive, making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. We weren’t expecting special treatment, just basic courtesy and a willingness to serve paying customers.
It’s disappointing to see that a place meant for social gatherings can’t manage exactly that — groups. As customers who came to enjoy the food and support the business, we find this type of treatment unacceptable.
We do not recommend this establishment and will certainly not be returning.

The day of our luncheon he personally took care of all the details I wanted to create a special experience for our staff. It was a great experience. I will hold other events at the Back Yard and recommend it.
