One person at the bar during happy hour. Took almost 15 minutes to be acknowledged. The brisket taco very good. A lot of meat but very little cilantro onions etc. The margarita included many ice cubes so very little actual drink. Not impressed. My server friendly but I could tell he was busy doing other things.

This is to be a good Mexican restaurant, but like most restaurants in Doral it turned into a Venezuelan Party Restaurant. They eliminated 70% of the mexican plates from the Menu, how thy sell Tequeños, arepas (all the same Frozen Venezulan Appetizers) . The only mexican plates are 1/2 the tacos they used to sell before.
Now after 7pm it turns into a Concert, you need earplugs to be able to eat inside, totally ridiculous. My guess is, this place will be close soon.
Doral restaurants need to stop doing this, they are all turning into the same version, a Party Restaurant with mediocre food.

We (family 4) stopped by because the website stated that it has daily happy hour starting at 2 pm. Upon arrival, we were told that happy hour wouldn't start until 3 pm which was a disappointment becausebthat would have been too late of a start for us to eat. I asked the general manager if they could honor the 2 pm start that is clearly stated on the website and they refused. The entire place was empty at the time and I just didnt understand why they couldnt honor the happy hour time frame from the website and accept a family of 4 ready to spend money on food and drinks at that moment. Needless to say, we were hungry and were not going to wait a full hour so we left and enjoyed food and drinks across the street at Pisco and Nazca.

Barra Vieja Mexican restaurant in downtown Doral, FL is an excellent restaurant. Our server Margarita was very friendly, welcoming, and really knew the menu well. She gave great recommendations and made the experience even better. The food tasted fresh, and everything was well prepared. The sauces on the side were very good, especially the spicy one. Usually restaurants say something is spicy, but it hardly has any flavor, but this one truly did. Highly recommend this place. Absolutely delicious.

Went for an early dinner and enjoyed immediate outside seating. Beer selection was less than minimal, but good HH prices. The birria in nachos, tacos and soup were all excellent. The carnitas were more pulled pork in style than my liking, but fine. Not very impressed nor inspired by the fish tacos. Our server was attentive and helpful. The only negatives were that happy hour food prices have gone up significantly, didn't like being charged $4 for bar soda water or $2 for a couple of tablespoons of cilantro that should have come with the soup listed as having cilantro, and a little shocked that happy hour snacks and drinks ran well above $100. However, as stated the food was about 4.2, service a 4.7, and venue 4.9...prices about a 4. So I give it 4 stars as not quite to the 5 level yet.

I had gone to this restaurant before and found it to be authentically mexican and lived it. This last visit I was dissapointed with their new fusion menu where they had eliminated some of their staple dishes and incorporated many non mexican dishes. Not a truly mexican restaurant anymore. Service was nit that great either, kept bringing us the wrong drinks, ☹️☹️☹️

Extremely disappointing. I made the unfortunate mistake of choosing this restaurant to spend my Valentine's Day with my wife. I only got to try the guacamole and the steak tacos because the rest of the food never came (even after multiple inquiries). After an hour waiting and not even getting a water refill we had to call it and asked for the check for what we were able to consume and called it a night. The gentleman in the table next to us was sitting quietly watching his companion finish her meal, because his hadn't arrived either. The irony is that they were seated a while after us. I believe refilling a water glass and serving the people at a table at the same time are basics of good restaurant service and I didn't see anything that would amount to that tonight. The waiter didn't even make an attempt to get us to stay around and the apology was insincere. Truly a waste of a special night for us. I wish I'd seen the prior reviews from a couple months back earlier which mention similar experiences of long waits, bad service, and ruined special occasions.

I really wanted to like this place but honestly the food is just mid for the price. The ribeye tacos were bland and lacked any spice or flavor profile. The guacamole was just ok. The drinks were average and very expensive. We did have great service. Lastly the music is way too loud. Overall disappointing.

If you are thinking of going, don’t. Terrible and slow service. We arrived for lunch to an almost empty restaurant. We ordered drinks that, while good, took almost twenty minutes to arrive. The appetizers arrived before the drinks. The guacamole and chicharrones were good, and the guac was freshly made. The drinks finally arrived and they were on point as well. The shared special arrived and it was well prepared and good. There was no sign of our hamburger after we were done with the special. The burger for our friend finally arrived, and she had to eat alone. When we tried to address the situation with the server, she jokingly and condescendingly dismissed our concern and sarcastically pointed out that we were hungry and should order another hamburger. We asked for the bill, and even though an 18% service charge is already included, both the system and the server asked for additional tipping.
