Made an online order for delivery, never received it. Called the place, and the phone goes to a voicemail that it’s not been set up. What a shameful representation of Colombian cuisine/service.

The Cucayo is a local chain restaurant from Barranquilla, Colombia, so I came with expectations based on my experiences from the locations over there. They did an OK job replicating the atmosphere, however the food is lacking in flavor when compared to the locations in Barranquilla. I was disappointed that they were sold out of most of the Fritos, and they do not have Jugo de Corrozo or Limonada de Coco, which are staples in Barranquilla.

We drove to Doral only to have the experience. But unfortunately, the food didn't impress us. The Mote and Guandul were ok. Arepa Dulce was so hard that we can compare it with a piece of Chicharron.Good Service, great location, and Atmosphere were our favorites. The Cucayo in my opinion is the best.

I ordered a portion of chicharrones to go that had a strange taste, as if the meat was damaged. I tried a piece and ended up throwing away the rest. Expensive and very little compared to other Colombian places in the area. Not recommended.

Had Sunday lunch with the family, my wife had received information about the restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it did not go so well, the service was decent but the food was not the best, I had the Posta Cartagenera the presentación was good but the meat was very hard to chew, I’ve had this plate at other restaurants and the meat was soft and tender, the patacon was very hard to chew not crisp. My wife ordered the Cucayo which is their typical plate was not very tasty the the rice should be crispy to eat not hard as a rock where you can chip a tooth , the sauce that came with it was cold as if it was just taken out of the fridge not warm or at room temperature. My son and his girlfriend both had the Sancocho where the presentation was good but the meal in it self was very blan requiring to add salt and pepper constantly. Very pricey for the type of food that is served, I will not be returning, first impressions are very important unfortunately the first impression was my last.

What a horrible place, people, pls read all the reviews. worst food ever, you would think the owners had read the bad press and react to fix the many, many, many issues they have with their foodPosta Cartagenera, the hardest meat, cucayo lol old toasted rice with COLD stew ?, unflavored greasy rib broth and expensive 20 dollar soup! The worst food I have eaten in many years, the famous little pot of cucayo is nothing more than an old, challenged rice that is served with FROZEN STEW ?, the posta is a bunch of tough, the simplest rib broth, flavorless and greasy with rice without flavor or saltThis place is not even going to last the year, one would think that the owners read and listen to the bad comments and would make corrections but that is not the case.

It is the second time I have gone and Ivanna's attention is fabulous. The food and the phenomenal atmosphere make me feel like I am on my coast in my land. I will definitely return and recommend the food and the CUCAYO restaurant.

We entered very encouraged by all the publications on social networks about this restaurant and finally found a coastal restaurant in Miami. Our experience was bad because of the following:Tickets:Empanadas: Cold.Chicharrón: simple and coldSausages: goodWe ordered main dishes and the wait was more or less 40 minutes.Mote de queso: good flavor but lukewarm.Churrasco: Raw when ordered 3/4.Grilled breast: Regular flavor, pale and without onion or anything.Rice: puffedSodas and beers do not give extra glasses, only the bottle.Friendly but untidy waiters, it is clear that they have no experience in customer service.First and last time I go to this restaurant.
