I have been a frequent customer of Salón Cantón in Caracas, Venezuela, for years and always considered it a benchmark for quality Chinese food. In particular, the shrimp in white sauce was my favorite dish, with an exquisite flavor that never disappointed me.
However, this visit to Salon Cantón Doral Miami, the experience was quite disappointing. The quality of the food has dropped considerably and is nothing like what we used to offer in our Venezuelan patio. The shrimp in white sauce, which used to be spectacular, this time lacked flavor and freshness. The sauce was watery and didn't have that distinctive kick I was used to.
The service was average, and although the atmosphere is still pleasant, the food no longer justifies the price. It's sad to see how a place that used to be so reliable in terms of quality has deteriorated so much. I hope they can recover the level they used to offer.
