Santo Dulce Churros! @ The Doral Yard

Really bad customer service and their “mango” smoothie is the worst mango smoothie I’ve ever had. Good thing we have options. For sure never going back to that place.

We went yesterday, we had a Groupon, it was a very nice experience, try going during the week so you get closer parking, also go and get the covered parking at the parking garage and validate the ticket after you eat so you don't have to pay for parking. Also, is Miami so is super duper hot, if you go with little ones try going in the evening or afternoon. Right in front of where you order they have lots of sitting areas, the iced latte I had was on point, very strong but also nice, not bitter. The churros were very good, my favorite was the chocolate churro and the guava and cheese, my kid loved the fruity pebbles. We also ordered tequeños, they were nicely made with lots of cheese.

BUYER BEWARE: Be careful and be sure to review menu prices and your total before finalizing your payment on the credit card reader or else they WILL charge you for whatever tip they feel like without you noticing. No receipts are given. Looking at other reviews here, I see it’s happened to several customers. I see an answer saying they pre-select an option to “make the process smoother,” well how about you pre-select 0 and have your staff TELL the customer “you may select a tip here,” pre-select a lower tip % (because looking at the menu now, total should have been under $18 and they charged charged $22.72, we could have gotten another churro for that!) OR have the server be clear and say “the tip is pre-selected, you can change it here.” No transparency about their tipping practices.
You may say that’s the customer’s fault but you know what you’re doing and that’s a shame.. lesson learned for my teenager to not blindly submit payment on these things ESPECIALLY for a PICK UP order at a food truck. I can only imagine what tips they are charging the older folks who are not used to these card readers. As a customer, feeling tricked or like an X amount of your $ got taken without consent is not a nice feeling. The food: the mini churros are good. You will have to wait a while for your order. The single ice cream scoops are tiny and overpriced for the size.

Best ice cream/ churros I ever had here in Miami. They seriously can compete with bigger ice cream brands like Haagen Dazs. Certainly will recommend to all my friends

I had a really bad experience here the other day with one of the employees, but I was immediately contacted the next day by the owner, who offered a refund and an apology, which I truly appreciated. The truth is, I love this business—it's right outside my house, and they make amazing churros! The ambiance is fantastic, and it always feels great to be there. I really enjoy it!
