Visited on Sunday 08-03-2025 at 11am. Not an enjoyable experience at all. The staff is very unfriendly. They have a bad attitude and a look on their faces as if they don’t want to be there. Also, they rush you to order. I ordered 1 empanada 1 pastelito. The pastelito was terrible. It was falling apart, greasy and very salty. The empanada was also not pleasant. Very disappointed with the overall experience. I will not visit again. Reading many of the other reviews, most point out the terrible customer service. My recommendation is to stay away from this place.

Sunny is still a mandatory place to go, all the food is more Venezuelan than the arepa 🤣, very delicious empanadas, the dogfish my favorite, all very good and prices that are still supportive 100% recommended

Very rich and everything! But what bad service. I'm not going back, they serve with a machine gun face, they gave me 2 sauces and charged me for them. 🙄 the girl who helped me is really disgusted with life. How bad that breakfast was and it's my birthday :(

The delicious empanadas! But the service is very very bad! The bad face of the workers is so unpleasant to me! None of them work with pleasure. None!

I think the owner has to go out and test the skills to see if his seasoning is failing.
My personal opinion as a customer is that the flour is terrible ground beef. The one with cheese and dogfish is raw, broken with excess oil. I won't be back. The girls who serve the service are upset with the worst faces.

Best empanadas ever. I am not Venezuelan but these empanadas just hit. The best is the cheese, mechada, & pollo. I hope they never close most definitely my heart would be broken. Have no complains been buying for almost 3 years was living around Doral area now I order them from DoorDash. I love you Sunny Subs!!!

It depends on the palate, cheap but poor quality, cold, the blended one smelled bad, I don't recommend it. Preferable to pay more and better quality.

I love the food at this restaurant, I love it and I am a regular customer but the service is getting WORSE, every time I go they treat me badly, they repeatedly give me the food reluctantly and honestly this morning was the last straw. The glass spilled, I no longer plan to continue spending my money in that place, customer service has a lot of weight and the prices of different products increase every time but the service does not improve one bit.

The site looks ugly and messy. The chicha had little pieces of rice. The empanadas are good.

I rated overall this restaurant as one star mostly because of the service, not friendly the person who took our order and the place is not tidy, it is unorganized where the tables to eat are and not very clean. The food was very good, but not the empanadas, they were a disappointment. But what really got me from this place, is that not only do they charge 4% extra for paying with a credit card (which I know there are some places in Miami that started to do this), but then they charge you a 10% service charge extra. When I asked the person who took our order she said it was to cover the cost of eating in(plates, utensils). Seriously? This place gave us plastic utensils and not the best quality by the way, the soda and water came in a bottle. The only thing was the plastic plate where the food came. I told her, I had never seen this in any restaurant I've eaten in Miami. She got a little huffy puffy and said that restaurants do it. Maybe in Miami Beach, but never seen it in Miami. Bare in mind that this is hole in the wall place. It's not a nice sit down restaurant by all means, it's a little shop with a counter where they have the empanadas and you put your order. It's ridiculous to charge that and then you give them a tip (which I gave them 18%, not knowing about these extra charges) to bring you plastic plates and disposable utensils and paper napkins. Wow their expense for having a customer eat in is expensive (being sarcastic). One time place to eat, never again. If they continue doing this kind of things, I do not forsee a good future for the place.
