The Tropical Grill in St John, in Antigua, is a bar with a wide variety of drinks, but little on offer of dishes. You have to order drinks directly at the bar and then sit on the terrace. Due to its location, near the pier and the cruise ships, it is a bar that is in high demand.

Today I stopped by to put gas in my car and I thought that since it takes several minutes to fill up, I was craving an empanada. When I tried to order outside, “it's supposed to be the quickest way” to avoid having to enter the restaurant, the girl was not there. After entering, and asking inside who could charge me for a simple empanada, after 10 minutes said girl came out. When I thought she could answer me, the phone rang and she preferred to continue the conversation she had before answering me, (it is worth emphasizing, I had been waiting for her for a long time). Conclusion: I left without the empanada. Note: Do not put people who are not interested in providing decent service to customers in places where it is required.

Unfortunately, this restaurant is not what it used to be and what was for so many years. It had the best Cuban food in Miami. It was an understated cafeteria-like... but with the most delicious Cuban food. The new ownership came in, made the restaurant a lot prettier but unfortunately dropped the ball on food quality; and at the end of the day, it was food that made this place great. I hope they get their act together.

I came here with low expectations. My car was getting its breaks done and I was hungry and walked to this location. When I arrived I asked for the menu and asked to be place far from everyone since I was working. They accommodated me and I was able to order. Dianelys took care of me and was very nice and helpful. The food was so good. I was not expecting it to be this good to the point that I’m trying to figure out how to come more often since this is out of the way for me and I’m only around for my car! I definitely want to come try other dishes! It is BBB- bueno, bonito y barato. I ordered more rice ( which I barely eat) and some plantains to go to eat later. They add garlic to the rice giving it an amazing flavor!
