If you're traveling between east and west coast of Florida take the scenic route that includes route 207 and stop at the 207 Diner in Palatka. There they have wholesome family food, a huge menu selection and great friendly service. Pass up the chain store restaurants and plan to eat here.

Good vibe with pleasant staff. Casual dining with American diner fare. They have daily southern style specials such as pork chops or strip steak on top of the large breakfast menu that is served all day. I would eat here again

SORRY TO REPORT I had a TERRIBLE dinner last night. I ordered country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans, Generous portions of two decent size country fried steaks. It’s a shame that right away I can’t eat this. The Top one was tough and stringy two bites and chewing for way too long and I pushed It aside started on the second piece it was even worse. The waitress seemed disinterested in my complaint, she took my plate, dumped it in the garbage and walked back by and asked if we want dessert. I told her that my steak was so tough, I thought I was cutting it with the wrong side of the knife. She walked back and announced loudly to the “chef’” where everybody in the restaurant can hear it. “He said the country fried steaks were tough.” He announced back loud enough to all could hear “Same meat we always use !” No apologies whatsoever from either waitress or cook. No offer to comp my meal, Maybe because I ate the instant potato's and canned green beans. I’m writing a review for the 207 Diner more because of the I don’t care attitude. I won’t go back.

Great food, Rocky the chef;cooks like he's working at Hilton Head. The prices were more than fair. The home made desserts for so fine and the portions were almost... should I say, HUGE! Plus they serve prime rib and breakfast All day. Stop here for real food and service. The Burger and fries ,drink and large slice of pumpkin pie around 16$. I'm not sure I paid a check for 2 and it was only 38$. My friend had a fish sandwich and fries and coleslaw and a slice of carrot cake. A real bargain for good food that's fresh and delicious 😁

Another great meal-breakfast. Very good food & service. Very good menu choices for breakfast AND lunch.
I got banana pancakes and hash browns. Both were gross. The pancakes were mushy and the hash browns were extra dry. I couldn't even finish eating the meal. I will never be eating there again.
