Yes, the food is delicious but there's more to this story. The fried okra was amazing, the cole slaw was wonderfully crunchy, tangy, and slightly smokey sweet, the green beans had a nice chili sweetness, and the banana pudding was homemade and delicious. But what captured my attention was the sense of an entrepreneurial spirit that seems to be driven by true passion, service, and love, not only for the food, but for Tommy's Kitchen, the business. To my surprise, Chef Tommy Washington personally prepared my dishes, served them to my table with a great smile and charisma, and gladly introduced himself and his company. I can't continue without acknowledging Chef Tommy's wife and business partner, Mrs. Washington, thank you for being his loving helpmate, you were a delight to meet. She is the reason this establishment is in Eatonville, FL. (I love a good First Began (PJ Morton) story). I have so much respect for beautiful power couples who can harmonize to build a family legacy from a place where passion meets purpose and their impact ripples throughout time for generations. Mr. & Mrs. Washington, keep up the Great Work, we need splendid examples such as yourselves in the world, just know your Grandmother is very proud! And congratulations Chef Tommy and team for the many accomplishments and successful branding ventures (culinary school, tv shows and Roku App, Walmart retail, traveling celebrity chef, and much more). Absolutely wonderful meai. They served a group of 17 people for lunch. We ordered a variety of meals.Tommy came out and engaged us personally!Wonderful experience!

Here’s a little gem tucked away in the corner of Eatonville. I finally stopped in and picked up a 1/4 chicken plate for my lunch. The bbq sauce surprised me a little (only because I’m a red sauce out of the bottle guy usually). The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was wonderful blend of smoky, tart, and a hint of heat that were nicely balanced, not overpowering, and delightful. The beans had a delicious sweet sauce, and the Cole slaw was the best I ever ate—smoky and creamy. The chef is awesome and told me he makes everything to order when you walk in. I highly recommend this place!! Now, on to the banana pudding! ?

It is a great place to eat. The food was delicious. I will definitely come back and recommend you stop by. The place is also very clean. Took some food home and my husband said, "That's the best potato soup I've ever eaten, where did you get that from? The collar greens were delicious. We have to go there for dinner one day." Yes, I agreed that was the best potato soup I've eaten.
