Athens restaurant is closed, closed, closed, closed. The space has been taken over by C's waffles. C' waffles has the gyro recipes the Athens restaurant used. I was told the owner of the Athens restaurant retired.

I think I found my new go-to spot! Went here tonight for the first time and WOW! Yes, the decor could use some updating, but I'm still giving it five stars because everything else was amazing! The food was wonderful; I got the souvlaki and gyro combo dinner and my boyfriend got the gyro sandwich with a chicken and rice with lemon soup to start. We kept taking bites of each others food because it was all so delicious! Service was prompt and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu :)

The gyro was the best I've had in Volusia county. The service was great and they were super helpful.

Helen and Gus are the best! They are from Greece and they make their culinary wonders with love! You can taste it in every bite!

Their gyro is everything! We ordered an appetizer of flaming cheese, called Saganaki, which is lit on fire at your table. This was really fun and impressed my daughter. It was delicious! Also tried and enjoyed a Greek beer! This was my first time to the New Smyrna area, but not my first time having a gyro. I ordered a gyro with feta. This was the best gyro I've ever had. I will leave the area and think about it until I can come back and have it again! I felt a little bit like I was in my family's kitchen and that was a really nice, warm feeling. Good people making good, authentic food.

Family restaurant with the fresh tasty food at a great price. Helen, one of the owners, has incredible energy and delivers super service. Mom enjoyed her GIANT gyro. My combo souviaki and gyro dinner was delicious and the leftovers made a nice lunch. Will definitely be back.

This is a favorite, and not just because it's close to home. Delicious Greek food. Helen and Gus, the owners, are great. Don't miss the saganaki (flaming cheese) done by Helen at the table. Wonderful fresh bread baked by Helen with the meal (take home any left over for marvelous toast). Recommend everything, especially gyro, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves with beautiful lemon sauce), pastichio (Greek version of lasagna), kalamarakia (squid that's much more tender than usual), lamb shank (special Friday and Saturday, I think), and I could go on. Take home Helen's wedding cookies or baklava. Open only Wednesday thru Saturday and only until 8:00.

This is by far the best greek salad around. It's locally owned and the owner is delightful. Portions are very generous and the food is spectacular.
