The Carolina vinegar base BBQ with applesauce and either greenbeans or baby carrot are my favorite but any of their southern sides are a great choice. The corn fritters do not disappoint! This place still represents a good old school restaurant that relies on excellent food instead of a flashy new interior or a view of the water. If you ever had a chance to enjoy their food 5, 10 or 20 years ago you will not be disappointed because it taste the same today and they probably still have your favorite on the menu.

I ordered the smoked turkey breast with baked beans, coleslaw and hush puppies. Absolutely delicious! I felt like I was eating in my mom's kitchen. I will return over and over and try the whole menu! I highly recommend Hickory Hollow

Amazing home cooked food like your Mom made. Rustic look, but very comfortable and clean. I’m so happy to see that they are open.

This is my favorite BBQ restaurant in Florida, hands down. This family-owned restaurant has been a staple of the community for over 35 years. It's a great Southern BBQ joint but also specializes in North Carolina style, in addition to the traditional tomato-based sauce, which is fabulous. The food is great; some of my favorite dishes are the fall-off-the-bone pork shanks and ribs seasoned to perfection with some of their tasty BBQ sauce. Chicken wings are another favorite of mine. They have an extensive menu from BBQ regulars like pulled meats to crab cakes, fried catfish, 25 different vegetables, fried green tomatoes, garlic beef sandwiches, and good old-fashioned burgers. The corn fritters are great; I like to dip those in powdered sugar—try it! I always get the corn soufflé as one of my sides, another sweet treat. There is an extensive and unique beer and wine list. Their desserts are worth saving room for—the cobbler of the day à la mode or crisp, or Southern pies like key lime or pecan. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a warm, friendly, cozy restaurant with Jarret's mom greeting guests with a warm smile, and some of the wait staff have been working there as long as I have been coming. As much as I love the restaurant, I have to say the catering is even better; planning a party? Let them do the cooking for you; your guests will thank you. He even caters Italian food double yum. He hasn't cooked something yet I did not enjoy.

The best Carolina BBQ , the best damned collars I've ever had. Best black eyed peas I've ever had. Just the best restaurant I think I've ever been to hands down a 10 out of 10.

If you want what I call good old southern atmosphere then this is the place. I had the catfish single plate and fried green tomatoes and I was stuffed and had enough for lunch the next day. I highly recommend for a good old time this is your spot.

I placed a 2 take out orders and arrived before it was ready because I wanted my food hot. My fries were completely cold. The chicken wrap was dry could hardly eat it. Very disappointed. The waitress was nice but I won’t be back just hope the peanut pie is good. My friend said her spaghetti was cold but good heated.
