A must try for some North Carolina BBQ, I have eaten here many many times and used them for catering repeatedly. Always a great experience! Don't miss it.

Best BBQ in the area. They have a ton of sides and all were delicious. Have to try the cheesy squash and fried okra.
Hickory Hollow is the closest spot you’ll find to authentic eastern North Carolina style barbecue in Florida. The only negative is the sides are very hit or miss. The fresh sides are pretty good, but I avoid any of their deep fried options.
This place has some of the best bbq food in town. Highly recommend it.

My grandson loves the crab cake and visiting the goats, chickens and ducks in the back of the property. Others in the group enjoy the barbecue, catfish, ribs, etc.. There really isn't anything that we haven't enjoyed. We have never tried the dessert since we have had enough to eat.
Vegetarian options: Great vegetable options, at least 20 to choose from and a vegetable plate option.

Restaurantji Recommends
I chose the pork barbecue plate and St. Louis ribs along with a side of coleslaw and mac & cheese. The meat fell off the bones with the ribs. The pork barbecue just melted in your mouth. The coleslaw was good, but didn’t have too much flavor. The mac & cheese didn’t have a lot of cheesiness but it was still good. Service was fast, and everyone super friendly. Atmosphere is fun and they have an outdoor area as well as indoor. As soon as you open the door you smell the lovely smokiness. Definitely recommend coming here. Lots of combos to choose from.

The food was good, nothing special, but I'm so disappointed at the person who was serving. We were the only brown ppl in the restaurant and the person who was seating the customers, taking the orders ignored us. We were first in the line and she seated the person behind us. She didn't even look at us. Then someone else came and gave us a table. This lady went to all the tables and asked how they were doing and she was taking all the orders but not ours.Just because we were brown. She was very friendly with all customers except us. She pretended we weren't there. When we had to pay at the cashier she was not even little respectful to look at us. She finished the transaction looking at the screen only. We had no idea that this place apparently is only for white ppl.
