This Wendy’s near the Ellenton Mall is an absolute disaster. Easily the worst-run fast-food location I’ve ever been to. The management and employees are completely unprofessional, and this isn’t just my opinion — people who work at the mall openly warn each other not to eat here.
Every visit comes with a 20+ minute wait, even for the smallest orders. When you finally go inside to see what’s taking so long, employees are just standing around, talking, and not paying attention to customers. There’s no urgency, no organization, and no accountability.
What makes it sad is that this location has real potential. With the amount of traffic around the mall, it should be a money-maker. Instead, it’s poorly managed and consistently frustrating. The low rating (3.3 stars) exists for a reason.
Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat.

Every time I have to come this Wendy’s they tell me to pull forward past the drive-through and they will bring my food out to me. It is NEVER busy and I end up having to wait 10+ minutes in my car for them to bring my food out to me. Defeats the purpose of a drive-through, which is supposed to be quick, easy and convenient.

Such a strange one, this Wendy's No lights outside? Food was cold, Most sodas were out, lots of food items unavailable. Kiosk order only? And only 1 ¿? Staff seemed to be doing the best they could, and were nice.

This Wendy’s is so bad, I would give it negative stars. I was first waiting at the drive thru forever, but eventually made my way to the pick up window. The lady who was serving us was extremely rude, but I can’t blame her because of how bad working at this terrible Wendy’s would be. The manager was on her phone leaving the lady doing everything by herself. The order came out wrong more than 5 times which was probably on purpose. BEWARE. NEVER GO TO THIS WENDY’S EVEN IF YOU ARE DESPERATE!

The most disrespectful Wendys workers I’ve ever been around. I went in there today and the young girl at the register was rude and had an attitude from jump she does not need to be working the register if she has an attitude or any other issues.

Ugh $30+ for 3 kids meals, burger and a drink. 1 kid liked their burger, but it took two tries to get the burger the way it was ordered. The regular burger was luke warm and not at all what I remember of Wendy’s burgers. Welcome to the new norm I suppose.

Told me they couldn’t make the drink I ordered and they were making one for another customer when I got to the window. Staff unfriendly. Decided to check my sandwich prior to eating and there was a hair in it.

Shut this place down and start over. Today I finally see why all of our neighbors have been telling us not to go here. The restaurant appears clean but the service and food are terrible. Do yourself a favor and drive a couple miles to the Wendy's in Palmetto.

This location always has some sort of problem when I come here: “No internet, systems down, can’t take payments, fryers not working”. If you always have problems, maybe get them fixed, or address lazy staff lying so that they don’t have to work?

Worst Wendy’s on the planet! Stopped at drive thru for food; tractor trailer delivering. Took order, then proceeded to tell me after I paid to pull up and wait, meat is “being delivered right now.” I was like what!!?? You should tell people before you take orders. Waited 20 min, when they came out with car ahead of me food, employee stopped by to say “they’re dropping the spicy chicken now.” I handed her my drink and said I want a refund. Mgr came out to apologize with my drink and said “are you sure, we’re cooking the chicken now”. I said yes, give me my money back! Took another 10 min and only provided when I backed up to the drive thru window again. Never again. Not this store!!
