We had the best, and I mean BEST, haddock footlong fish fry at The Pickle Onion in Estero today. On Fridays it's $11.99 (regularly $14.99) and worth every penny! The owner is from Ireland and his Island roots speak loudly through his fish & chips plate. Everything looks delicious, service was fast and pleasant and our lunch was out within minutes of having ordered. Definately going to be a regular stop on Fridays for us!

We went for the first time yesterday for dinner. I think the owner was the waiter, bartender, busser, everything. And even though he was extremely busy and short staffed, he was getting it done with a smile on his face. The food came out quickly and was very good. The portions were large and priced reasonably. I ordered the blackened chicken quesadilla and it came out prepared exactly as I wanted it. Really so good. My husband got the steak nachos and he raved about it afterwards. He said he thought the steak must've been a ribeye and he expected a steak with nachos might be a little chewy, but his was tender and delicious. Two thumbs up to the chef. We liked that the music was at the right volume that we could talk and the TV screens playing sports all around. We'll definitely be back.

Have always had a good experience. Love the steak fajitas. Love their wings. They are market price though so last week they were $1.79 per wing. A little steep.

The Pickled Onion is awesome. Lots of friends here and just an overall good atmosphere. There’s live music every Tuesday and Saturday, bingo Wednesday, trivia Thursday, and karaoke on Friday. It’s a lot of fun. The food is delicious and there’s also a lot of food specials. Oh and you can’t forget Happy Hour EVERY day from 11-7!

Love the environment, the staff is fun and attentive, the new owners are awesome people. Food is great, I had the fish n chips it was to die for, the wings were even better, the band was good. Great experience all the way around.

Had an amazing time at the Pickled onion! Food was fast and delicious and staff was very friendly! Manager went above and beyond when I told him I have food allergies and made sure my food came out to specs. Definitely will be back! Great way to end a busy day shopping in the area!

Two words - Taco Tuesdays. $3.50 margaritas, 7.99 tacos, a great duo performing. How can you go wrong. We’ve actually tried all the tacos. The shrimp blackened are great. The chicken is great. The fish is perfectly cooked. Sometimes the steak is hit or miss but more often than not it’s hit. This is one local joint that you don’t want to miss. I think they even do super cheap steaks as a deal one night a week! Plus the staff is so sweet. Seriously they put up with anything and laugh it all off. Highly recommend for a good local spot in the area!

Very happy to have them so close by. We went for Trivia on Thursday and were thrilled to find Spotlight Entertainment hosting trivia. They do a great job. Not too busy. Service was great, we were checked with many times to make sure we were doing well. Chicken tacos were very good. My husbands burger looked great. Pub food and drink. Give it a try! We’ll be back.

I want this place to make it. it's right around the corner from us and we knew the previous owners. Based on my first experience ya'll gotta do better. It was a very slow night, one other table. The waitress and i believe the owner were great. very attentive. The cook, not paying attention. I gambled on the fish and chips after discussing with server. Told her how many times I've been disappointed over the years (I'm still looking for proper battered fish in SWFL), when it landed on the table I had my doubts, when I handled it my doubts were confirmed. No crunch on bite, not a good start. I ate a little bit of it and waited for the togo box. my wife asked why would u take it home? i told her I'll fix it and it will be great. My son added this is simple work for Dad. The side, fries, onion rings all came out warm at best.U need to review your batter mix. needs corn starch and highly carbonated liquid, or combine with a cheap vodka for the batter, the alcohol will evaporate faster then water. super crispy texture.Out of the 5 burgers ordered med rare, only 1 was proper temp, the other 4 were well done. It's simple food. great location. but u only get so many chances to get a repeat customer. If the food comes out hot u got chance.

Ordered wings from this establishment. They came out undercooked. When we asked for a replacement the waitress politely obliged. She brought replacements that we’re burnt to a crisp. Tried to eat a few to not cause a hassle of another replacement but couldn’t do it. We asked for them just to be cooked and not burnt. They came out with what looked like our reheated first order and this time with the owner to ensure we didn’t ask for another replacement because in her words “there is nothing more we can do”. Couldn’t believe what we were hearing from the owner. Waitress was nice. Female owner was rude and apparently not looking to provide a quality dining experience. Rest of the food was bland or heavily salted. Won’t be going back.

Love this place. Good hometown type bar. Food is good, love the prime rib sandwich, sliced, but excellent flavor. Staff very personal and take time to explain everything. If you like the old hometown bar with good food and plenty of tvs to watch a game, this place is.it!
