Sauces are great! However, I'm leaving this review because the address listed is not accurate. I drove all the way to Felda, but the location is nothing but a run down storage shed.

Gator Hammock has been my favorite hot sauce for 10 yrs or more when I discovered it at the local California Tortilla “Wall of Flame” - choice of 50 sauces to try with your meal (Pennsylvania). I was surprised to discover the GH location as Felda, Fl - having just bought a house in Ave Maria, I need to take a road trip on our next visit!

About 25 years ago, a friend of mine brought me a bottle of Gator Sauce from a trip to Florida. I loved the sauce but was unable to find more in the far north. 15 years ago, I bought a bottle in Florida and had it confiscated from my carry-on flight bag by the TSA. I vowed to visit the home office of Gator Hammock if I ever traveled to Felda, Florida (near Ft. Myers. Today was the day! My family and I were greeted by the wonderful Dotty in the warehouse. I loved being surrounded by all of the Gator Hammock products, hearing descriptions of them provided by Dotty, and tasting many of them. Impossible to choose, so I bought 12 various bottles of their excellent wares. I could have ordered these through Amazon, or even directly from the company, but trust me, the visit to the Gator Hammock headquarters was worth much more than the 30 mile drive from Ft. Myers. If you travel near Ft. Myers, make the trip to Felda, sample the great products and enjoy the hospitality that goes along with a trip to Gator Hammock! Knock at the door to what appears to have been a grocery store. Thank you, Dotty!!

I don't understand the appeal of certain hot sauces. There's one made in Louisiana that is especially popular but it doesn't have any flavor other than "hot." So it was nice to find an alternative hot sauce when I sat down for breakfast at the Alva Country Diner (about 15 miles east of Fort Myers) and spot something new on the table.A few dashes of Gator Hammock hot sauce onto my eggs and they tasted great. Definitely a different flavor and with bits of spices in the sauce, a different texture too. I think this is something that might not be for everyone's taste but it was great for me this morning.This is exceedingly local. You're probably not going to find it far from Southwest Florida. If you do, pick up a bottle and give it a try!
