The restaurant sits literally right on the beach! Very cool! Food is good and a nice variety on the menu. However, like many other comments the wait staff is slow and sadly, forgetful. We ended up not getting our water refills, nor a dish that was made incorrectly, nor side items we were waiting on.

The location alone deserves 5 stars—absolutely stunning! Oceanfront with a perfect view, and we love sitting outside on the patio, listening to the waves and overlooking the water. It’s truly a beautiful setting. Over the past few months, we’ve visited four times, and while the atmosphere is unbeatable, the service on the outside patio has been consistently disappointing. The bartenders tend to get caught up chatting with what appear to be regulars or friends, and it often feels like other guests are overlooked until we manage to get their attention. This has been a recurring issue, which is unfortunate given the potential of this spot. On a positive note, the food is good, and the fish dip is fantastic—definitely worth ordering! With a little more focus on attentive service, this place could easily become a favorite.

Nice View On The Beach!
We were visiting friends along the coast on Friday, November 28th. I wanted to take my mother to a place to enjoy the view. We went to The Funky Pelican that day. It was cool, and extremely windy day so, we decided to stay indoors. After approximately 5 minutes waiting for the hostess, we observed two gentlemen who had arrived after us checking in. I told her, to the hostess, a lady with short hair, we were before them. She acknowledged it. When a table opened up, the hostess called out the name of the two men, who had arrived after us. I immediately stepped forward and politely reminded her that we had been waiting longer and were next in the queue. But then deliberately proceeded to seat the later-arriving gentlemen anyway, completely ignoring our established right to the table. She then said to me she was going to give us a better table. This restaurant has tables by the glass windows which allow the best views of the beach. Something I realized latter, after we ordered the food. I consider the best tables if you eat indoor. We were not seated in those tables. This behavior made us feel completely unvalued as customers. My mother was not completed aware of this. So I decided to stay. We ordered calamari as entrée, and clam soup , as main course , pasta in a jerk cream sauce with shrimp and chicken , Luau Salmon and hot tea. While the food and wait staff were good, the customer's first point of contact—the hostess—was unprofessional and created a poor first impression. That was the reason I did not take any pictures. I strongly recommend management address front-of-house training to ensure all guests feel welcomed and respected from the moment they walk in.

Food is great, but their oppressive anti-free speech policies taste terrible. They think they own the sidewalk and they’re overly sensitive about having their picture taken.
God Bless The Homeless Vets and Mr. Gray for standing up for our rights while sensitive business owners and sensitive uneducated law enforcement officers cost Flagler Beach taxpayers money.

Spectacular tonight! Everything about this visit was perfect. We sat on the outside patio with an ocean view and watched the dolphins jump throughout dinner. The sky was painted pink. I had the most wonderful special.... $25 for clam chowder, fish & chips, and key lime pie! The fish was bright white and battered to perfection. The clam chowder was honestly the 2nd best I have ever had and that says alot. It was almost buttery. Our waitress was very kind and overall, it was just a magnificent night. Thank you!
