Amazing food and pitcher of margarita was so good. We can’t thank Genesis enough for making our daughter’s birthday dinner so wonderful!
Horrible service and average, at best, luke warm food. Total disappointment!
Excellent restaurant with the best food and service! A must go to any time I'm in town. Bright and cheerful decor, friendly and welcoming staff and THE most delicious food!

Had the Fajitas Burrito. Filled with shrimp , steak and chicken. Topped with lots of queso. Best Mexican food in the area.
Finished dinner off with a top shelf margarita, Avi made it perfectly ?

Absolutely amazing food! If you like authentic dishes for a decent price, clean bathrooms and bright interior colors of decor, this is the place. My favorite Mexican restaurant in Flagler Beach!

Atmosphere is great! We came in after a group of 20 had come in and it felt as if everything was rushed without care. Of course running a restaurant is stressful at times, but that’s no excuse to not give the same quality service to a smaller group of people because business happened to get busy around dinner time. Will not be going anytime soon. If not, never again.

Our favorite mexican food! Music is very loud. Every time we go here all the servers stand at the back wall talking while one person is on the computer, very annoying when your waiting to get a drink ordered to go with the chips and salsa.

We’ve been to Margarita Island a number of times and always have had a good experience. The service is first rate and the Margaritas are excellent. Let me assure you that they will NOT skimp on the tequila in the Margarita, get a designated driver!
Tonight we had the surf and turf burrito, tamales and carnitas bowl. All were excellent. Plenty of shrimp in the surf and turf burrito and I’m not sure what they put in the cheese sauce topper but it is amazing.
Everyone in our group loved their meal and the prices are spot on. The value for the meal is definitely there.
They always serve you with tortilla chips to begin the meal at no extra cost and the salsa is loaded with cilantro just the way it should be.
Margarita island is the real deal. Authentic Mexican and great service.

Margarita Island 777 E. Merritt Island Causeway Merritt Island, FL 32952 1 Star With a Tundra blocking the entrance and blaring Tejano music you feel like you are in a low rent cartel c-picture. However, they have two locations; neither is in Mexico (the other is in Flagler Beach). Jordan was my server for the meal and is fantastic at her job. She was pleasant, polite, helpful and highly knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered some Fresh Traditional Guacamole, Ceviche Los Cabos and a medium rare Churrasco platter. The complimentary chips and salsa were an omen of things to come. The chips were okay, but the salsa either came from a 5-gallon Sysco bucket or the worst recipe known to mankind. I didn't think it was possible to make salsa this bad, yet here we are. The Fresh Traditional Guacamole looked appetizing and it was made fresh on-site. However, it had way too much salt. I don't know what happened maybe the top of the salt shaker fell off. This made me sad as the avocados and tomatoes were so fresh and scrumptious. We could get trapped in an interminable discussion on what is and isn't “traditional,” but if this is, so much for “tradition.” Gladly turning my attention to the order of Ceviche Los Cabos, I dug my fork in and stuffed it in my maw. This was an absolute abomination. The shrimp was way past its prime, the giant celery chunks were wretched, avocado under ripe and this sloppy mess seemed prepared by the back up dishwasher. Thankfully, this brings me to the last item for review, the Churrasco. Churrasco is Spanish for skirt-steak. Skirt steak is a relatively cheap cut of bovine, and as such, I was not expecting it to hit the palate like a filet mignon, but I didn't expect an old leather football, either. This had to be last month's steak. It was unseasoned and what I did manage to saw off had to be spit out after a decade of chewing (well, it SEEMED that long). The Big Boy says, “The fresh guac is good enough to save this from a swill alert, but it's teetering on the edge.”
Great service great food
It was our first time here, the bartender seemed to busy to want to help us and we were sitting at the bar.
We ordered the queso and it was thick and cold, I’m sure it should’ve been at least warm.
The Trio Fajitas that we ordered were dry and unflavored. They didn’t have fajitas for two so we had to order the sides separately. The steak was tough, the chicken was dry, and there were only 4 pieces of shrimp.
We were hugely disappointed and then when we got the bill there was an extra charge, the bandera which we had no clue what it was and why it was on our bill.
All and all a very disappointing experience.

"Service Excellence", fresh food that creates an explosion of exotic flavors is what comes to mind while thinking about our experience at.Margarita Island Mexican Kitchen & Bar.
Having lived in Texas for 15 years, sampling many types of Mexican cuisine I can say this place has the best food (and drinks) in the state of Florida! Drinks were amazing, topped outstandingly and so big that as "margarita conesours" we were unable to finish, having to take our drinks to go (properly labeled with our dining receipt).
Look no further for outstanding Mexican cuisine and drinks that.are so delicious they will keep you coming back for more.
Outstanding A+++
