Next Door Beach Bistro

Markedly different from the usual Florida beachside places (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and very good. Tempura shrimp appetizer was a highlight. Extra points for serving a gin and tonic as it was meant to be — a rocks glass almost full of gin with a bottle of tonic that you can add to taste.

We love Next Door Beach Bistro, and our first Sunday brunch there was no exception.

You can find chicken and waffles on just about any brunch menu, but duck and waffles? Incredible. We also ordered two of our longtime favorites — the roasted beet and goat cheese salad and the truffle fries — and they were just as delicious as ever.

The highlight, though, was our server, Cameron. He was sharp, welcoming and perfectly attentive throughout the meal. We genuinely enjoyed chatting with him, and his service elevated the entire experience.

It goes without saying — we’ll be back.

A beachside resturant with flare. What a great place. We were two couples and all of us ordered the Seafood Pot Pie. So beautifully presented with taste to match.

The food is amazing, the service is amazing, the music was good. I can’t think of anything to critique! Highly recommend the lobster bisque and seafood pot pie.

Ate there twice. First time everything was fantastic. Was so excited that Palm Coast area finally got a decent restaurant. Service was impeccable. Food came out fast. Delicious. Appetizers are to die for. Great oysters.
Then went on Sunday of LaborDay weekend. As if the place was switched. Server failed to mention that they were out of a lot of menu items. After getting the appetizers, server did not bring any serving utensils or bowl for shells until much later. Rosè Wine printed on the menu not available. Server not familiar with other wines on offer. After appetizers found out they were out of duck. Server failed to mention at the beginning of service. Major fail. Then had to
Make an alternative selection on the spot with server hovering over me, annoyed with me. Went through the main course. Found out that they ran out of all chocolate fondant and chox mousse. Again, server failed to mention until dessert time. Then the manager came to apologize and basically accused us of not understanding that they were new and had growing pains and miscalculated the food for the weekend. Really? A restaurant had been opened since February and went through three major holiday weekends. And to still not be prepared is just not excusable for a spot of this quality. Much growth needed on management level.
Food is superb if you can get it. If they can fix their service and ordering issues this restaurant is a star to rival anything in St. Augustine or Daytona area.
EDIT: visited again a year later in May 2025. What an improvement! Food is excellent, service top notch and nothing missing on the menu or wine list. A must for Flagler Beach!

Nice place. Upscale feel. We had appetizers and drinks and loved everything. The menu was tempting. Definitely going back. Great vibe.

Really enjoyed Sunday brunch here! Had a separate brunch menu which was all delicious. I loved the seafood options. I had the lobster omelet (which had lobster bisque as a sauce!) and can’t wait to try the lobster eggs Benedict. The espresso martini was delicious and you can’t beat the view! I bought a gift card for my Mom to come try it - highly recommend.

I witnessed a large group of 30 people with about 15 kids being asked to leave after a local town drunk was taking pics of the young girls. They were waiting on a table at the other place next door. The old town drunk guy was snapping pics of the young girls and when approached about it he got defensive and maced one of the dads who was about 4 ft away. Of course a scuffle broke out and the police came. They didn’t arrest the pervert and the OWNER asked the large group to leave bc they ruined the business for the night. The owner couldnt have been more rude to the large group i was shocked. It was obvious they were on the side of the perverted old town drunk and I don’t recommend going to the golden lion or the next door bistro unless you want perverts taking pics and the owner defending the perverts actions.

Had the steak and my wife got fish. Food was wonderful and service was great everyone was very attentive.

Absolutely delicious! I love coming here (it's a treat because it is a bit on the pricier in *for me*). I loved, loved the pasta, and the beet salad was so good! Their drinks are refreshing, and the cocktail menu is well done along with a nice beer/wine selection. I definitely would recommend this for a nice night out, or a girl's night out! Server was knowledgeable and attentive. I really enjoyed our time here!
