Tortugas Florida Kitchen & Bar

So, I was helping a friend move from New York to Orlando. We had packed a huge truck and I had driven for days; however, it was just not possible for me to get so close to the ocean and not put my feet in it! We pulled off the highway and found this little sea town.

I had no place to stash the truck as the truck was so large, it was a beautiful and busy time of day and there was construction all along the main street. I pulled to a stop right in front of this restaurant and went in to ask if I could leave my truck there for a few minutes (I negotiated 6 minutes actually :-).

The owner was so awesome to let me park there, blocking his restaurant, preventing parking there and disrupting the entire flow of his business, just so a stranger could go see the ocean for a few minutes. What an amazing act of kindness!

I am sorry I didn't eat there; however, if you are looking for a place to eat managed by people who care about others and are kind for no reason at all; this is the place for you! It is 10 minutes off I-95 and I strongly suggest your stopping here for lunch or dinner! Just don't do it in an enormous truck!

One of the best food places to eat smd hamg out on Flagler Beach. It really does mot get much better than listening to live music in the autumn night breeze fresh off the beach eating perfectly fried pork belly and the best fish tacos.

Came here back in April, food was much better then. Tonight stopped in, and no one, out of 5 people, enjoyed their meal. Not sure what changed. They are dog friendly, and it is a cool place to sit and relax at.

I didn’t read the small print on the menu. Extra charge for Credit Cards. My bad. I don’t patronize establishments that do that..It’s the principle of it… won’t be back again.

My new go to when in town for bar atmosphere and food. Fish tacos are the best and the servers from the bar manager down to the hostess are so nice helpful and friendly. Great mixed drinks and drink specials
