We were seated at a high top- after looking at the menu, I looked up and was looking around. The server came over saying “I know, I know I’m coming”… I thought that was a bit harsh. In addition, the food was bland and the hostess was freaking out to other staff members. This wouldn’t be my first choice to come back to.
Stumbled upon this place on my way through town and was pleasantly pleased as soon as I was greeted at the door by Taylor. I didn’t know what a Toasted Yolk was but I soon realized it is what is affectionately known as egg in a basket. I had to get that! Took me back to my childhood in NY where my mom used to make it. Service was great as well as the food. Not sure how it is other days but Taylor sets the vibe here. They’ve only been open since November but she knew customers...
Tables were dinged up and looked dirty, not a big deal but worth noting. We waited almost an hour for our food, which came out oily and overcooked. Shrimp and grits were swimming in it and the biscuits were unfortunately rocks. Server was decent but we had to wait 25 minutes just for water refills. Would not return, think they just need more staff for the size of the place
