Whitey's Fish Camp

We went to a large group dinner with around 65 people this past weekend. I hadn't been to Whitey's in a few years, because we are seafood snobs, but after the great food and service we had, I will definitely give them another try. Kirra and Angela were amazing! We moved tables and didn't realize no one had told them. They found us and were super kind and polite. Our drinks were never empty even though the restaurant was insanely busy, and the check was ready as soon as we were ready to leave. Thanks to these ladies and the hostess, I felt safe eating off our group buffet with my food allergies.

Normally I would say Whitey's is "ok" since we do love the atmosphere, but I usually am not too impressed with the food. Last night though, I have to say that it was amazing. The food all came out very hot and everyone enjoyed it (except the one who ordered a well done steak but I don't know how anybody could enjoy that anyway). Our server, Kelli, was wonderful. We never once had to wait long for her to stop by and check on us, and she was hilarious! She noticed that my friend had not really touched her steak and offered many times to get her something else or to take it off the bill. Several of us are/were servers for many years, and we just kept talking about how much we loved Kelli! We will definitely ask for her in the future. 😊

I'm always excited to share my wife's and myself experience at a restaurant. Here we have a very cozy and relaxing atmosphere with a pleasant view. It goes without mention that the staff and chefs are extremely experienced and very well trained. Our meals were prepared to perfection, at the correct temperature, and completely satisfying. The menu is well balanced, within budget, and not confusing. Table service is excellent! We are new to Middleburg and without doubt will become devoted customers. Altogether bravo! Job well done. I'm always excited to share my wife's and myself experience at a restaurant. Although my previous review was favorable, this visit was extremely disappointing. Our meals were below average, not at the correct temperature, and completely unsatisfactory. Unfortunately, we must be honest and respectful change our rating. Carful consideration must be given before a return visit is in order.

Arrived with a half tank of gas, left with fumes. It was a great time and loved music. Realized the gas from the car was syphoned. It was fun until we left. My car was locked, but the gas tank was clearly vulnerable. Food is great, but I'm not sure as this cost.

Usually this place is great but today the grits were not completely cooked and had a soup consistency (and not served with a spoon). The waitress was not at all attentive to anyone. Watched several customers waive her down for service.
