My favorite Pecan log.Every time we go to breakfast regular,Breakfast is like a Kids meal very small portions for the price love their hash brown casserole is delicious. The absolute worst breakfast I have ever had at a CB. The casserole was burnt and dry (my opinion it was yesterday's food reheated one too many times). The bacon was burnt to a crisp. You couldn't pick it up without it crumbling. The scrambled eggs were desert dry. The only good thing was the coffee.

We had the nicest waitress and she was very attentive. Several of us got the meatloaf which was quite good as usual.
Before I place this post I need in all fairness to admit I have not been to crackerbarrel in FIVE YEARS. Both because of my travels and because the one nearer me closed.I always order the meatloaf. I usually get TWO THICK PIECESsmothered in gravy.This time I got ONE admittedly thick piece NO gravy or the offer.It was pure breadcrumbs.Nice flavor microwaved warmed up.I had the hash brown instead of the usual mashed potato.I have never tasted ANYTHING so disgusting in my life and halfed cooked.I asked for mashed potato which she said she did not have and proceeded to serve it at the opposite table with the man's beef tips. How about fries ? Reluctantly she agreed and brought out some half cooked French fries I never finished.It appears the food comes already cooked and they just warm it up and do a halfassed job of even that.I may be wrong.The biscuits or cornbread are no longer free and the size of an aspirin but still as delicious.Thay have kept the prices low with smaller portions but the quality is waaaaay down and even though the place was fairly busy like me I reckon people only visit for the good ole days ambiance.
