Visiting from Minnesota. Came here to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. Had the Chef’s special boil with lobster, crab legs, scallops, shrimp, sausage, potatoes , corn and two hard boiled eggs. Covered in a garlic butter sauce (we ordered the Juicy special with medium spice).Made (pronounced Maddie) was our server and was amazing. She made us feel so welcome and helped make this day much more special.

Came here for my birthday while visiting Ford’s from Minnesota. Our server “Made” was very friendly and made us feel like she loves her job. She made some great suggestions and we went with chefs special which was a seafood boil for two that included lobster tails, crab legs, shrimp , mussels, scallops, sausage, potatoes, corn and two boiled eggs. Though billled for two, it was enough food for four (or more.) We got it medium spicy with the “Juicy Special” mixture if seasonings. Everything was delicious and we could not be more happy - though we do have a good size bag of leftovers. We also had some hush puppies for an appetizer prior to our meal and a small portion each of both flan and key lime pie for dessert, all amazing. Overall the service was quick, although perfectly timed between courses and Made made it a wonderful experience.

Tonight my husband asked about Red Crab and I told him I heard it was similar and Crafty Crab. So he said let’s try it. The seafood boil tasted watered down. Hardly any flavor, very liquidy. I ate maybe 4 shrimps and just stopped (we both had the day special). My husband is not picky and would eat anything; he didn’t even finish his boil.Now, I don’t mind spending money on food as long as the food is good as well as good service. I was a server before and know what they get paid. I want to think I am a nice tipper if you give good service. The biggest shocker was the bill. Not so much the food but the 18% service charge for 2 people! I understand parties of 3-4+ people but 2! You can’t even go out on a date! I suggest if you do go, you go alone or sit at separate tables ??♀️. Note we had a To-Go order and that also was included in the service charge as well. All in all… I sure WONT be going back or even recommending Red Crab to anyone! 2 stars only because he said the strawberry lemonade was good but $6 for not even 8oz.
