This restaurant has it all, a comprehensive menu and daily specials with something to suit every taste and budget. I would describe 12a Buoy as casual with a fine dining standard of food, the perfect mix! The service is welcoming not stuffy, there is a bar area so you can have a drink before you get a table or after you’ve eaten. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced considering the high quality and standards here. We travel here at least once or twice when we’re in Florida, we wouldn’t miss it! On this visit we had a lobster dinner and the prime rib. The lobster was sautéed and placed back in the shell so there was no time wasted cracking shell but you can have that experience if you choose. The prime rib was served medium well as requested, pink in the middle, soft and juicy, cooked in garlic and rosemary with a beautiful colour! Sides for both were a creamy coleslaw and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. Huge, satisfying portions of the highest quality. Drinks were soda and beautiful Zinfandel. We had a great evening, cost including tax and a top tip for outstanding service came to $110 fur two. We’ll go back every single time we’re in Florida, guaranteed!

A hidden scratch kitchen hidden away in Ft Pierce. Got the seafood pasta and was amazed by the portions and the size of the shrimp, scallops and fish. Amazing flavors!

Far and away the best restaurant we’ve been to in Florida! We always make a point of coming here when we stay at Vero Beach, The standard of the food, drinks and service is exceptional and always has been. On this visit we had the prime rib with garlic and rosemary, a baked potato and coleslaw, two sides are included with entrees. The other dish was sautéed lobster in the shell with melted butter and sides of baked potato and coleslaw. Very generous portions and beautifully presented. The only downside is we didn’t have room for dessert! A chilled glass of Zinfandel and a soda completed our order. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, the owners have a great outlook on life and this filters down to the staff and diners. A framed photo of the team with Gordon Ramsay still has pride of place in the dining room! Check the website for daily lunch and dinner specials, closed on Tuesdays.

Food is by far the freshest and you can’t beat the old style way they cook with their scratch kitchen style and fresh fish DAILY!

My family loves the old raw bars. Whenever we can, we head to the ones that shine, or have great food despite losing some luster. 12A Buoy is a favorite of ours since around the time they started in 2008. Ft Pierce has changed; but, 12A Buoy still offers excellent quality and affordable drinks. We typically get tuna sashimi, shrimp, and a soup for starters. Chips & salsa or the spinach artichoke dip are solid. The sweet swine is quite a presentation and for bacon lovers, a must! Steamers & raw oysters are fresh and tasty. It’s become a local staple and we drive up from Stuart quite a bit to get an amazing meal in. Give it a go!

To start out with, two items we were interested in ordering (Mussels and Shrimp and grit cake) were not available. The waitress took a long time to take our order, but delivered the soup quickly to my husband, then we had to wait for the other ordered items forever (over 30 minutes). We ordered onion straws, which was a pile of greasy onion rings, clams casino, which were very bready, and fish nuggets, which were totally tasteless and dry. Adding some spicy sauce would have helped, but the waitress never checked on us. There were other appealing items on the menu, but if I am going to pay $50 for a filet mignon, I would like to eat it in a white tablecloth restaurant, not a dump like 12ABuoy. Based on this experience I have no desire to go back.

In years gone by my neighbors had been here and said it was very good so we decided to try it and were sadly disappointed. Service was mediocre, Many, many bugs and food was sub-par. Had a pasta dish with four types of seafood and supposedly a garlic sauce. The dish had almost NO FLAVOR. For my wife and I the bill came to $90+ dollars and we had no cocktails. Worse dining experience in many years and severly overpriced.

What a great find this place! Hungry between Orlando and Miami, we searched for food and we took the shot at this place. Near the water, almost hidden. The waiters were very friendly, and the food amazing. Local gem!!!

Got dropped from the waitlist after waiting in the bar for 25 minutes. They put us back on and seated us relatively quickly. Wish they hadn’t. The three dishes looked and tasted as if they had been prepared by a child. Clams casino inedible, mahi reheated, rice undercooked. The staff seemed nice and the beer was cold but that’s the best I can say.

Corey was a fantastic waitress! The seafood was unbelievable, so good. The blackened red snapper entree is a must, along with a nice glass of wine.

I have been here many times and would rate the food and service as excellent. On our last stop with friends, the service was subpar and ruined the entire meal. You know something is wrong when others have been seated, ordered and received their food, paid and left and us not have gotten our food.

I have had bad meals and bad service and never left a review. Everyone has a bad night. But I have never been treated by someone as bad as I was tonight and it was the manager. When we arrived there were empty tables inside and maybe 6 tables outside , so not even close to full. It took 20 minutes to get a cup of soup. After another 15 minutes, we asked the manager about our food. He said it should be out shortly and went back to the kitchen to check, so I thought but he came back out and ignored us. The waitress apologized but after another 15 minutes, we asked the manager for our check. 50 minutes for food is a long time, especially when you see people who came in after you receiving food. The manager was aggressive, disrespectful and downright rude. I will NEVER go back and tell anyone I know not to go. That man has no business in the service industry.

Delicious lobster Mac 'n cheese with chunks of Maine lobster. Excellent smoked fish dip and New England Clam Chowder. But even with only water to drink, the tab for two with tax and tip almost reached $50. Worth it? To us, yes! When busy, it can get noisy.

We go here frequently and would say it has always been 4-5 stars for all visits. Sadly tonight this was not the case, gave it two stars out of loyalty for today’s visit. My husband’s mussels were tasty but seemed a bit less than usual. I had my usual conch chowder which was delicious but served luke warm. Our onion straws batter was inundated with salt. Our waitress flew by with drinks for another table saying everything ok without making g eye contact. I tried to engage her to no avail. Did not see her again until my husband had finished his mussels and she asked if we wanted dessert. Told no, told her the problem with the onion straws and asked for a container for my conch chowder. Waitress said she would tell the kitchen about the onion rings, no mention of the less than hot conch chowder. Mind you we entered the restaurant at 4 and it was not busy!
