My husband and I were looking for a place where we could get some fried chicken and found Chicken and Waffles at Kinfolk. This little joint did not disappoint. We both ordered the chicken and waffles, the chicken was DELICIOUS, you could tell they fried it up upon ordering because we had to wait for a few )worth it) and it was piping hot goodness. I highly recommend this place I know we’ll be going back soon!

The food is amazing!!! After trying another soul food restaurant in Ft. Pierce FL previous to KINFOLK, we were skeptical about the food industry here. For breakfast we decided to give KINFOLK a try and was very pleased…
The food is amazing and all meals have a beautiful presentation. I ordered the catfish and grits. My wife ordered the salmon croquettes. And we also got an order of the strawberry shortcake french toast. The catfish was the tender, savory, well seasoned, evenly crisped, all you can imagine. The French toast was to die for. And the salmon croquettes, let’s just say my wife had to take a power nap afterwards lol.
Hands down the best.
Food was amazing! very friendly people and atmosphere. Willie was the best! he greeted me and my family since it was our first time and constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we enjoyed it. The food was delicious, me and my family enjoyed it!

Worst ribs I've ever TRIED to eat. Couldn't even stick a fork in them. Mac and cheese was just as bad, dry and no flavor. Definitely wouldnt recommend the ribs or Mac and cheese. Menu needs updatex
Incredible food and kind, attentive service. It was very affordable as well. I got the wing Wednesday deal with lemon pepper and a side of beans. Would give 6 stars if I could.

That was our third visit going. Never has let us down once the food has been fantastic. The portions are good. The flavor is the best and the prices are great. Don't miss out and try a slice of homemade carrot cake.

Feel good down home southern style cooking at its finest. Mr Willy( owner) and his crew are engaged and on point. Our server Erin was freindly and knowledgeable and kept our beverages consistently topped off. For an appetizer went with the fried Okra and for lunch the fried fish sandwich. Highly recommended !

Friendly staff and excellent food makes this Soulful Hidden Gem a must try. The Collard Greens were perfect, coleslaw was spot on, the SoulRolls are amazing and don't get me started on the Chicken and Waffles. Definitely worth a try if you're into flavor...

Customer Feedback on Recent Experience
It’s not often that I feel the need to leave a less-than-pleasing review, as I genuinely enjoy highlighting positive and outstanding service. However, I believe it’s just as important to share constructive feedback when an experience falls short.
This morning, I ordered from Kinfolks—specifically the chicken biscuits, which I’ve had once before. My husband is a big fan and recommended them, so I was looking forward to enjoying a treat before our fishing trip. The woman who took my order was helpful and pleasant, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the food itself was a major disappointment. The chicken lacked any real flavor, and the biscuits were undercooked and doughy. I attempted to eat one biscuit, but it left a very unpleasant aftertaste. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the second one I ordered.
I decided to call in and express my concern, hoping for some acknowledgment or resolution. Instead, I was met with a simple “okay.” After an awkward pause, the young lady added, “Sorry you didn’t like the food.” I politely clarified that there’s a difference between personal taste and being genuinely disappointed with the quality. Still, there was no offer to remake the order or any indication that the issue was taken seriously.
It’s unfortunate, but it seems the quality at Kinfolks may vary depending on who’s working, and that inconsistency is not something I’m willing to gamble on again.
