I might be quoting others but they do indeed have delicious egg rolls, fried rice, lo mein, and various beef entrees, generous portions, reasonable prices, and fast service. Also enjoy the friendly staff. I’ve been visiting this place for years and it’s always good.

Picked up dinner from China Garden - General Tao's chicken and the spare rib platter with fried rice and egg rolls. At first glance, everything looked appetizing - decent portions and bright colors. But once I started eating, it was flat. The chicken lacked sauce and had no spice, the ribs were dry and chewy, and the rice was just plain bland. The egg rolls were okay. For a place that normally earns high marks, this was a letdown. Food looked good in the box - but the taste didn't back it up. Three stars.

Was VERY disappointed with the new Eastern Garden, formally China Garden. I ordered BBQ Spare Ribs combo and they gave me some rib chunks and fried rice that didn'ttaste very good. Apparently they don't do pork fried rice anymore. They should have told me that over the phone when I placed the order.

China Garden in Fort Pierce has always been a steady favorite, but tonight's takeout was disappointing. The combos - General Tao's chicken with fried rice and an egg roll - and the spare rib platter with the same fried rice and egg roll - looked great in the box, but the taste just wasn't there. The chicken sauce lacked flavor, the fried rice was bland, and the ribs, while colorful, were dry. The egg roll was okay. The portions and presentation were solid, but flavor is what counts. A meal that looked much better than it tasted.
