A good friend of mine recommended for me to try Moonswiners. It is becoming one of my favorite spots for take-out and dining. Their burgers are far better than any of the franchised chain joints. I usually order their sampler platter, which provides the best bang for your buck if you're seeking a big protein portion. You get to take home a reusable cup for your fountain drink. The corn nuggets are a tasty snack. My banana pudding dessert was very delicious. Pricing is reasonable. Their wait staff is always pleasant and friendly.

First time and never again. Jumbo platter 3 ribs with no meat or flavor dry as can be. Chicken the same so small like a half of a Cornish chicken. Sides were horrible beans and baked beans. Mac and cheese not bad. Service we didn't feel no friendlessness. I ask if they can do something special for my granddaughter bday and they said no and didn't even acknowledge her. We both left hungry like we didn't have diner. Waste of money

On more than 3 occassions service was not accommodating to customers.
For me the new fries are not a good match with the Moonswiner favor. When ask to have fries not as crispy they do not do individual batches because it would back up service. When I stepped away I heard the two cashiers making commenting regarding my request. I informed them I heard their comment and the was unprofessional.

I am new to the area and a lover of barbecue and i was super excited to find this place right down the street from me.. I saw it was always busy so I thought that was probably a good sign. I really wanted to like this place, but the food, although well made, lacked any flavor. I had a platter with 3 different barbecue meats and macaroni and cheese, as did my brother, and my son had one of their burgers. None of it tasted like anything, just all so bland, even the mac and cheese. This place is so conveniently close to me but left me with no desire to return.

We've been patrons of this resturant for over 30 years. They have gotten a little too big for their britches. We tried to pla ce an order for pickup before we arrived but were placed on hold. We pulled in one of the pick up spots of which there were 4 spots vacant. The girl came out to see who we were. We told her we were placing our order at that time. She said we would need to move to a parking place until our order had been placed and went back inside and told the girl we were on hold with and she hung up the call. We were then told we would not be allowed to place the order over the phone that we would need to come inside. We asked for the manager. We were told that is their policy. We will avoid this location in the future as they no longer cater to the customer. Even though it is a longer ride we will visit the Dale's on US1 for the friendly service.

Was shocked at shrink flation on lg pork sandwich. Waitress said the cannot buy lg buns any more, now only small buns and less meat is Same price $ 5.00 sandwich now , but cost over $ 10. I wonder where Best meats ,gets there buns? Won’t be back .

I recently visited Moonswiners Bar-B-Q, and it was a huge disappointment. The entrees were completely flavorless. The 1/2 chicken smoked BBQ tasted like it had just been boiled in water, with no hint of BBQ flavor at all. The 1/2 pound of BBQ beef was no better—just bland and uninspired. The only redeeming items were the corn nuggets appetizer and the side dishes, which were actually decent. As for the kids' meal, it’s an absolute rip-off. They charge $16 for three small chicken tenders, which is outrageous. I won't be coming back here ever again.

Stood waiting for 15min to be seated or spoken to by a worker. A worker asked if I was staying or picking up, told her I was staying and had been waiting. She just said oh well, grab a number like that man just did. As I just told her I had been waiting. Not even a sign telling anyone what to do. Not even a care that I had already been in there.
