The food is good but man they got to do better with the rice.the rice is hard.need to add more water to make it more soft..been going there for years and I love beans and rice but I just get beans and meat and make my own rice at home

This was the first and last time i will eat there. I had the beef stew. It was cold, m.eat was in big chunks and hard. I ate very little of it. My son had the salmon. It was also cold. My friends son and nt son had mozzarella sticks. They both could not eat it. Our server was Nicole. She got no tip due to the food being uneatable and her not offering to warm it up or reduce the bill.

Me and my wife when got into the restaurant, the music was reggaeton with coursing words and with older people having lunch and the music is not appropriate for family restaurant. I ordered mofongo de camarones like the menu said (shrimp mofongo) and everything was separate instead of how it supposed to be, mofongo on the pilón and the shrimp inside. My wife ordered biftec mofongo and it was the same as me, everything came separate. Her mofongo was extremely small compared with mine. The server was rude with my wife, she doesn’t even came after the food was served. When she finally came, I was already ate my food. The restaurant was the worst Puertorrican restaurant we ate in the area and we are not coming back. Service compared with price definitely won’t match. I’ve been a restaurant manager for many years and whoever is a manager there definitely does not know how to manage a restaurant. The restaurant can have good potential but the administration not let the restaurant be better.

Was super excited to try this Puerto Rican place but definitely was disappointed. To start off our waitress never checked on us if we needed anything, no refills, no condiments, literally for nothing. We ordered two pernil sandwiches and it was nothing but oil, grease and fat. We couldn’t even eat them as the bread literally was soggy and falling apart :( and you would think the waitress would question our experience but nope she took our card swiped it and walked away again without checking in on us. Maybe just a 1 bad experience :(

Gabriela was amazing! She was attentive and provided great service. Food was absolutely delicious and came out super quick. This was a way better meal than other well-known Puertorican restaurants in Florida. Specially those between Orlando and Tampa Bay area. The only thing we didn't like was the acerola juice but literally it didn't matter. Passion Fruit was good though.

I went yesterday to this restaurant, 09/07/24. The shrimp was delivered to my table not cooked, they had to take it back. Also the Mofongo. Guys come on. If your restaurant name is Mofongo king and your Mofongo is not cooked well or its doesn’t have any flavor please change the name. We went for one reason Mofongo, and it wasn’t the best. Not good. I never usually leave comments but this was a must.

Great place if you hungry and on the rush to get cooked meal. Most other Latin places around don’t have ready buffet that’s why I’ll give 4 stars even though food and options are not the greatest. Portions also are plenty you’ll be stuffed from regular lunch order.

Mofongo is ok at best as a thru Puertorican, restaurant should change name, they are NOT a mofongo king, they don’t have trifongo or dufongo in their menu no pork chicharron in their mofongo is just plain extremely amateur. Please change the name of the restaurant is misleading

1st timer here. Honest review that will have the good and the bad.
First up the bad: FLIES: There were soooo many flies i wanted to leave BUT my sister raves about this place so i took a chance and held it together ? . Management NEEDS to take action ASAP!! The open buffet did not have tray covers and the flies were all over this place so I ordered from the menu in hopes of …well ya know. Our other sister was waving her arm THE WHOLE TIME to get flies away from our food. It just wasn’t normal or sanitary.
MUSIC: It was too loud to enjoy conversations. The beeping of the disconnection or change was every other song. I recommend small speakers throughout or a playlist that is ongoing.
Now on to The good:
Food actually turned out to be great! I ordered steak with sautéed onions, rice and side of fries. Steak was well done, tender, juicy. Rice was hands down the BEST i have had and my family is PR. Fries were nice and crunchy/ fresh/ hot. Beef empanadas are a absolute must because they were 10/10 absolutamente fire.
Service: we were greeted immediately upon entering with smiles and warm welcomes by staff. We were missed on drink refills but not the worst thing so service was still great.
Establishment: Clean entrance, floors, tables BUT restroom needs a desperate cleaning and an air freshener bomb! My sister refused to use it and returned to our table lol.
Menu: small menu but had decent variety to choose from that made it okay for me.
Atmosphere: the vibe was good. Music was great other than volume and beeping from speaker. Outside and inside was decorative and lively. It gave it a good feel to the vibra.
Overall 3/5 given the food was on point and the service was good BUT please address the restroom issues and Flies ASAP!

I will never enter this place and many will speak well. They show a video on Facebook promoting the restaurant, and an employee or whatever in the restaurant comes out talking rudely while touching his private parts on camera. Imagine arriving at this restaurant and the employees are in the same way with the rudeness and bad language that Puerto Ricans have as a habit.
