Awesome experience
The first thing to know it is not a restaurant. There are four food trucks parked on the backside of the brewery. You get your food from either one of the food trucks and you go inside and eat or on the outside they have a large outdoor sitting area.. it is all about craft beers and if you're not a beer drinker don't go.
Super great vibe - decent brew
Great atmosphere and even better beers
I only went there for the first time about a week ago, and just went for my second visit during their Farmer's Market from 4-8:00 p.m. They have the market on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. (I was so excited to see a market that wasn't during the morning 😃) Anyway, the brewery itself is a great environment with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, and the live music shows they have are fun. Food is provided from a variety of food trucks that are delicious! All of the green spaces around the area are really well kept & enjoyable, & the General Store nearby is nicely stocked, also. I'm looking forward to getting out there more regularly on my bike rides 🚴🏼♀️😊
Props Brewery Hammock Bay is the place to be!! I was here visiting my long-distance boyfriend and after coming to Props one night, we made sure to come every night I was there because of the atmosphere, drinks, and staff! Special shout-out to Michelle (the brunette bartender). She made me the most incredible beer flight I’ve ever had after telling her what I liked and didn’t like. I will definitely be coming back when I visit again!! We also enjoyed the live music, music bingo, the women’s market, and all the different food trucks! 10/10 would recommend!
It's one of my favorite places to go. It's like Cheers@ where everybody knows your name !
We enjoy props every Wednesday for bingo night. Truck is great also for food.
Love hanging out under the breezeway. Such a great atmosphere with food trucks and this night we played musical bingo!
Until they get the dog attacks and unleashed dogs under control, we won’t be back, stopped going long ago but wanted to meet a friend, it’s still the same. The skinny male bartender was incredibly rude to a friend of mine who had questions. It’s funny because he used to be one of the drunks that would make people feel uncomfortable. I do not believe the high reviews at all, maybe they were all during the daytime because it’s pretty safe and nice until dinner-ish time. Sad too because I have ties to one of the owners, love props overall but Props Hammock Bay is going to end up with lawsuits and I don’t want to be near that.

Craft Beer, Great Eats, and a Fun Local Vibe
Props Brewery at Hammock Bay has quickly become one of our favorite hangouts in Freeport. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of space to kick back and enjoy some of the best craft beer in the area. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and happy to guide you through their latest brews.
On the side of the brewery, you’ll find their burger food truck—and it’s outstanding. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, these burgers are the real deal. Even better, they’ve recently added a new pizza and sandwich food truck, giving you even more options to pair with your pint.
There’s also live music, seasonal events, and a rotating calendar of entertainment that makes every visit a little different. Whether you're stopping by for a casual beer, grabbing dinner from one of the trucks, or enjoying a night out with live tunes, Props Hammock Bay delivers on all fronts.
Local vibes, cold beer, and great food—can’t ask for more. Highly recommend!
Cool spot!
Our fourth time at Props in Freeport. Great special event on the lawn and a great band on the main stage this evening. However, the bar lacked adequate service for the turn out and no table service. Food truck was taking forever for orders, again not adequate staffing for a Saturday evening town event. Also the prices at the bar and food truck are crazy. Ordered 2 porters and a small wine out of the case (which had no prices on them). Bill was $39!! The wine was $26 for a bottle that had 2 glasses of wine in it. This was not champagne people. Props is a local place in a nice community. Can you price your food and drinks for community & families. This is not 30A tourist time.
Taco truck is not good. Staff said they would text when my order was ready in 10-15 minutes, at 20 minutes I never received a text and went back to my food sitting on the counter. Walked to the car and realized queso was missing. Got home and saw taco salad was missing toppings. Skip this one.
The stout beer was quite nice, overall a nice place to visit with family or friends.
