The Oar House & Oyster Bar

We were very excited to try this restaurant but despite having listed hours, they were closed on a Saturday night!

Love the new location on Black Creek! They have a great outdoor venue with live music. The drinks and food were good. Prices were average for the area. We will definitely return soon!

Best place in Freeport with a casual atmosphere! Good people running it now so go see them! Joe and Beth go out of their way to make you feel at home and always have the best entertainment!

This is a well hidden gem! Food was amazing and affordable!! I will come here again when I visit!!

We will not return. The shrimp was overcooked and tasted like chicken, fried in the same oil I guess. Onion rings were ok but the fries were salty enough to melt the icecaps. This place is grossly overpriced. One visit was more than enough.

The owner was our server and she was awesome! The shrimp were divine and lightly battered- so delicious. I highly recommend!

A new favorite spot. Had the pleasure of dining here last night. New ownership and lots of exciting things happening here. This is going to be our favorite place to see live music outdoors this spring & summer. All the food we had was great. Philly Steak Sandwich, fried shrimp basket and loaded fries. The key lime pie was delicious too. We will be regulars here on out. Thanks for all the info on the restaurant Beth! Wonderful service.

Joe and Beth are awesome. The wings are terrific. Try the house sauce. Everything was delicious.

Such a cool spot, but seems to hold itself back. Went over the weekend and there were no burgers or wings available. We had oysters - there was no doubt they were preshucked sitting in a fridge, tasted pretty bad. The Tuna Dip is amazing!! Probably best thing there. The Fish sandwhich is excellent as well. We also had sweet potato fries that were brought out black (burnt), really?... Made up for it with excellent onion rings. Like I said, really neat spot, but some of these food issues needs serious addressing.
