We came here for a late lunch a few weeks ago and thought the food was great. The service was a bit slow in the beginning. It was “Seat Yourself” seating and took a while for someone to come over and acknowledge us and ask what we want to drink. Everything was fine after that. We’ll be back!

This is our favorite restaurant to go to in the Fruit Cove area! Love the food, the drinks and the atmosphere! The pretzel is the best I've ever had. The servers are always very nice. Love, love, love this place!

Waitress was very pleasant. The sweet potato fries were delicious, cooked perfectly. The Drunken burrito was very good, would definitely get this again. My mom got a wrap, and said it was really good. Good experience, good food.I'd recommend this place.

I've been eyeing up this restaurant on Yelp because the inside photos reminded me of a bar that I used to frequent when I lived in Orlando. My husband and I finally got to give this place a try and we loved it!This place is very easy to miss- it is located in a strip mall and from the outside, it doesn't look like a bar or restaurant, but rather a counter service place. Upon entering, the vibe was completely different than it looked from the outside. The Christmas decorations made me forget that I was in Florida; it felt so cozy and homey! We sat at the bar and the bartender was amazing! She provided us with recommendations and was very attentive. My husband and I came quite hungry, so we ordered the stuffed avocados as an appetizer. I couldn't believe it was two whole avocados! I was expecting some avocado slices. The portion size for the price is absolutely worth every penny. My husband ordered the Cali chicken sandwich (it was on their specials board) and we couldn't believe how many fries came with it. I picked 3 of the tacos, all of which were great, but I especially liked the chimichurri pork tacos. Their seasonal drink menu had a lot of variety. I tried the sangria and old fashioned, both were good and full of winter spices. I was only planning on having two of the seasonal drinks, but the bartender described how she makes espresso martinis and I absolutely had to order one! It was very coffee forward and wasn't sugary and filled with milk like a lot of other places make theirs. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Between the service, drinks, food, and atmosphere, this is a solid place to grab dinner or just hang out and spend time with others. I want to come back and try their brunch. I'm already looking forward to next time!
After trying the OG Saint Augustine location years ago, I was excited to stop by this location after hearing they had a newly refreshed menu. It was a quiet Monday night and I was seated immediately. The ambiance was chill and friendly. I ordered the dynamite shrimp tacos which were served with chips and salsa. The salsa had a subtly-sweet taste which I loved and had some heat to it. These are some of the best shrimp tacos I've had to date simply because the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was served on top of a bed of dynamite slaw. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection and hot and crispy. Overall, My total time spent in the restaurant clocked in at just under 20 minutes, and with super speedy service, great waitstaff and delicious tacos, I will definitely be returning.

I've only eaten here once and it was due to someone else's suggestion. This is not typically a place that I'd frequent.... But I was quite surprised! The food was delicious! The service was outstanding. No wait at all for a table, but we were there during school hours in a weekday! Would definitely recommend, especially for those who eat 'more on the healthy side!'

Another outstanding meal ( Again!) at Back 40! My wife and I came for dinner tonight on a Friday and it was PACKED! Definitely worth the short wait, the food here is always extremely fresh and made to order! Probably my favorite restaurant hands down! If you haven't tried pack 40 yet, I really suggest that you do so! But it might be smart to try and go during the week during happy hour from 3 to 6! They get extremely busy on Friday and Saturday nights, I definitely know the reason why!
