Used to be excellent. Prices are very high for not so great food. Taking off the list of go to spots.

I used to really love this place but they took away the country fried steak a while back which was my preferred meal. They added smash browns which are delicious but seems like they change the recipe for the ranch. It tastes like some generic brand out of a bottle versus what tasted homemade before. I also absolutely love the shiitake gravy because I am not a fan of sausage. It has changed also and does not taste homemade like before either. For the price of the food I am very disappointed in the changes. And the biscuit I got last time was super dry and hard, not appetizing at all. Really sucks because my friend and I enjoyed the coffee and atmosphere.

Always great food and service! Always gotta pick up a pound of Dark Bark coffee, our favorite.
Update: really liked the 5 and Dime tacos. I think the place really needs to do something about it acoustics, loud and echos. Still great food!!!

Maple Street in Jacksonville, Florida is easily one of my favorite breakfast spots. The food is consistently excellent, and the Sticky Maple is a must try. It comes with fried chicken, bacon, and maple syrup on a fluffy biscuit, and every bite is memorable.
What I will miss most after moving away is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy your meal without feeling crowded.
One thing that really makes Maple Street special is the fun tradition when placing your order. Instead of giving your name, they ask a creative question that changes each month, like your favorite animal or vacation spot. Your answer becomes your order name, which adds a fun and personal touch to the experience.
If you are in Jacksonville and want a hearty and delicious breakfast, Maple Street is the place to go. It is truly a local favorite and worth every visit.

Over priced and crappy food with little portions. That is supposed to be two eggs. It's at best one egg.

Always a pleasure stopping in for breakfast at Maple Street. The food is so fresh and tasty. Had the chicken bacon jam biscuit and breakfast tacos. I made a suggestion about combining their 2 specials into one incredible fried chicken and fried green tomato with bacon jam biscuit, and shortly after they posted an IG reel with them combined. Definitely want to try it when they bring it back!

We used to really enjoy Maple Street, back in the day when the coffee beans were roasted in house. Things have changed, a lot. The menu has been expanded, which is nice, but the biscuits where tough and chewy. Like they were warmed in a microwave or kept in a steamer. We came for the biscuits, so our meals were just ok. And, like most places, the prices have gone up while the portions have gone down. Maybe that accounts for why there were few patrons on this Monday morning. On a positive note, the staff was attentive and friendly.
We hadnāt been to MSBC in quite a while. We visited on a weekday midmorning. We ordered at the counter and the counter clerk was nice and helpful but a bit of a low-talker. The dining room is all hard surfaces so it was loud, and that was our main problem. Instead of your name you answered a daily question. Although gimmicky that part is fine. What isnāt fine is once your order is ready, your tray is placed on a counter and your gimmick answer called out. The problem is the dining room volume and the counter person lackadaisical calling your order and walking away. Bad point one is the person walked away without verifying the order is for you. Bad point two is if you arenāt watching and listening closely you will miss out altogether. The solution is a microphone with a counter worker who enunciates and waits for the customer to retrieve the order. Now the good stuff. Our orders came out in a reasonable time. The orders were prepared well just as ordered. The egg-cheese-bacon biscuit was excellent. The egg was prepared hard as asked. The bacon is very tasty and savory. The biscuit was soft not crumbly. The five & dime was also excellent. Every element was prepared well and the serving size ample. The gravy is peppery, not spicy, but I didnāt think the pepper was excessive. Overall we were happy with our meals and the ordering process will not keep us from returning.
