It tasted like home (as in granny's cooking from Tennessee). I had fried green mators, fried fresh okra, collard greens that will make you want to get up and slap your Mama. Oh and perfect cornbread! Great service and hospitality!

I love this place. The owner and her daughters and all of the crew are wonderful. On my last visit, I ordered my usual salad w/ fried chicken. However, what I got was a salad with chicken nuggets like you get from Sam's Club! What happened to the delicious fried chicken you used to serve? I was very disappointed. Kenya was not there or I would have mentioned it to her. Now, I'll have to find a new favorite. I won't be ordering that salad anymore. By the way, I love your new red paint job. The building looks fabulous.
We love this place. The food is consistently good. We’ve never had a bad meal (and we’ve eaten here A LOT) I will start with their sauces … all homemade. The best part is their meats don’t need sauce BUT you should still give them a try because they’re so good they deserve to be eaten.
Good brisket is hard to find and they nail it every single time! We love the brisket AND the ribs. The ribs are fall off the bone tender.
ALL of the sides are good. And yes we’ve tried them all. One of our favs are the fried green tomatoes. They have the perfect thickness doneness and the breading sticks!
For those of you that love the sweet cornbread (like us) they have that perfected too!!
We’ve not had a bad dessert here … but our fav is the peach cobbler … It’s not your run of the mill peach cobbler … it’s like peach cobbler and peach pie had a baby.
I also want to give a shout out to the hard working owners and staff. From the very first time we walked in the door till our most recent visit we have always felt welcomed and appreciated. The service is always friendly and fast!

Love this place! We have been eating here for years. The food is consistently good. Our usual is the brisket and or ribs, fried green tomatoes and either limas or black eyed peas. It’s hard to find good brisket and this place nails it every single time. The fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve ever eaten, and I’m a southerner with very deep southern roots. They have the perfect thickness doneness and breading that sticks! We absolutely love the owner’s and their family. They are just wonderful hardworking friendly people. And the rest of their staff are just as great. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. And to contradict whoever didn’t like the parking. There is additional parking in the back.

We dined there this evening. Wonderful food and very friendly people. They smoke their own meats with Black Jack wood and it is outstanding. Their sides are wonderful, just like mama meant them to be. There are other menu items besides BBQ, but that is their mainstay.
The atmosphere is like home, very comfortable, and very positive signs in the restaurant dining area. These are very down-home people who know how to make your tummy happy. Super good place. Best BBQ anywhere around. We are from Texas originally where BBQ is king. This is better.
