I’ve been coming here for the last 3 years and I’m extremely disappointed by my last visit. I ordered a large fried chicken plate with rice and beans and for some reason the large only comes with 3 pieces of chicken so I asked for an additional 2 pieces. They charged me $6 for 2 pieces of chicken. Now I’m not one to argue with what people want to charge but if I think it’s ridiculous, which I do, it’s just time to move on. I understand business but sometimes some things are so crazy you just have to leave them alone. On my hunt to find my next haitian spot that’s also fair.

I want to give this place a one star because I came here to try to buy some meat and she wouldn’t sell it. She says you have to have it with the plantains I said ma’am, how much is it? She’s proceeded to tell me $25. I said perfect. I will give you $25. Keep the plantains. She said that I’m not gonna sell you a meal. I’m very firm about not throwing food away so if I don’t want something, I try not to buy it other people could use it or save them and cook them later either or she refused my service. Very bad place. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone.

The food was kinda try without sauce and lady there was rude. I tried to order another plate and she got mad like I’m not willing to give them money. I was ready to pay for another plate and she got mad at taking my order. I went here 3 times and every time there was a problem. Always some type of problem or I try to explain what I want and she don’t understand English fully and she gets mad at me because she don’t understand it. Another time I’m ordering and she on the phone just talking when I’m trying to order. TERIBBlE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!

The ridiculously lengthy wait was not justified by the quality of the cuisine. This restaurant was FILTHY in addition to having no designated employee to greet patrons, handle orders, or deliver takeout. There was an overflowing garbage can in the lobby that hadn't been emptied, and there were trash fragments all over the floor. This place doesn't prioritize cleanliness or take itself seriously enough to have such FILTH on open display for consumers. I can only think that they would get a very low (or failing) mark if a health inspection were conducted here. Because the owners of A&E Caribbean Cafe are obviously salopes and don't care about hygiene or basic sanitation, I would not suggest it to anyone.

They are something I can't understand in Haitian restaurants, you have to pay $15.58 for a meal. 1- a Tikal food. 2- the food is not well presented, ahhh we give problems in every sense. Maybe if it tasted okay, there wouldn't be a problem if it was a Tikal, we give the people a bunch of onion, it's like a leftover onion, they don't need to make a bunch of it and we'll give the cabbage a bunch of something Uncut, sauce in the water Last time ht ate from us
